Clachtoll Cottage is situated just yards from the sea in a spectacular location on the north shore of Clachtoll Bay. The site, known as Am Port Creadhach (Clay Port), has been an area of settlement for over 2,000 years, and a Pictish broch stands on the coast to the north of the cottage.
About Clachtoll Cottage
Sheltered by a low hill and facing south, the cottage was constructed in 2003 and is finished in white Skye marble with feature wooden shutters.
The accommodation comprises a lounge/dining area, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, along with a pair of z-beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a toilet/shower room.
A paved patio to the front of the property provides an outdoor extension of the lounge and offers a superb vantage point from which to enjoy the stunning scenery. At various times throughout the year, whales, dolphins and porpoises can be spotted in the waters just offshore.
Visiting the Area
During the summer months, the owner is available to take interested guests on boat trips along the coast to Lochinver or on guided walks in the Assynt area. The coastline is spectacular and endlessly photogenic.
The cottage is located just 200 yards from the sandy beach at Clachtoll, where the clear turquoise waters of the bay provide safe swimming conditions.
