Watermill Farm Cottages comprise a pair of self-catering holiday cottages located just outside the village of Kirkby Green, set within 8.5 acres of private grounds in the Lincolnshire countryside. Peacefully positioned yet conveniently close to the cathedral city of Lincoln, the cottages offer a relaxing rural retreat with excellent access to local attractions.
Accommodation
Both cottages are tastefully furnished and provide comfortable accommodation throughout. Each cottage benefits from its own lawned garden and parking area, and guests are also welcome to use the shared summer house located beside the beck, along with the communal barbecue area.
Inside, each cottage features a comfortable lounge with dining area and a fully fitted kitchen. The kitchens are well equipped with a fridge, cooker, toaster, microwave and washing machine. In addition, a deep freezer and tumble dryer are available for shared use in the adjacent watermill garage.
The main bedroom in each cottage can be arranged as either a double or twin to suit guests’ requirements. The second bedroom in Stable Cottage includes a double bed and fitted wardrobe. Both cottages are fitted with underfloor central heating and gas-fired cooking.
The surrounding grounds include Millennium Wood, providing the opportunity for peaceful evening walks with views of the beautifully restored watermill.
Visiting the Area
A variety of walks can be enjoyed directly from the cottages without the need for a car. Just three miles away, guests will find a selection of local shops, including a pharmacy and post office. Watermill Farm Cottages are ideally situated for exploring the historic city of Lincoln, the Lincolnshire Wolds, Cranwell and a range of charming towns and villages nearby.
The Lincolnshire countryside offers a unique blend of rolling farmland, rivers and open landscapes, bordered by towns such as Gainsborough, Woodhall Spa and Sleaford, and intersected by the Rivers Slea, Witham and Till.
