May Cottage accommodates up to four guests in a beautifully presented, single-level property.
The cottage features lovely arched Gothic windows that fill the interior with natural light. This listed building is equipped to a very high standard, with attractive antiques in the spacious living room and fine Spode china in the limed oak kitchen.
The thoughtfully renovated property comprises an outer hall, inner hall and kitchen with Italian travertine flooring, alongside a large living room. Living room facilities include a marble fireplace with logs provided, a 32-inch flat-screen TV, DVD player and mini hi-fi with CD player. French doors lead to a patio area at the rear of the cottage.
A glass door from the living room opens into a heated conservatory with travertine flooring. Double doors lead from the conservatory into the large master bedroom, which features a king-size bed, silk curtains and new furniture. The en suite bathroom benefits from underfloor heating, a separate bath and a walk-in shower. The second bedroom, furnished with twin beds and fitted furniture, has separate but direct access to the bathroom. The cottage is newly decorated throughout, offering light, peaceful surroundings warmed by central heating.
Outside, there are gardens to the front and side, with a private BBQ area towards the rear. The living room and conservatory open onto a private patio with table and chairs, enclosed by attractive Cotswold stone walls. Parking is available for two cars, and the cottage enjoys a particularly quiet setting.
Discounts are available for couples over 65 booking for one week, as well as for guests booking a second or third week.
Visiting Stow-on-the-Wold & Exploring The Cotswolds
Although the cottage faces open countryside, it is just a few minutes’ walk from the famous Market Square. Stow-on-the-Wold is a small, historic market town offering interesting shops, first-class restaurants, brasseries, cosy coffee shops and traditional pubs — including the oldest inn in England — clustered around the ancient market square with its stocks and fascinating old buildings and alleyways.
Places of interest nearby include Abbotswood, St. Edward’s Church, the Fosse Gallery, Stow town walks and Hidcote Manor Garden.
