The Shippon offers charming self-catering accommodation in the village of Newton-le-Willows. This beautifully converted 18th-century barn, located near Bedale, provides an excellent base for touring North Yorkshire.
Set within open countryside, The Shippon enjoys panoramic views and has been tastefully furnished to a very high standard. The single-storey cottage is level throughout and retains many original features, including Victorian stripped pine doors and furniture, while also offering modern comforts. An adjoining garden provides a peaceful outdoor space for guests to enjoy.
The sitting and dining room features a beamed ceiling, a stone fireplace with electric fire, a stone window seat and a 42” HD flat-screen TV with Freeview. Additional entertainment includes a radio, DVD player and CD player. The luxury breakfast kitchen, also with a beamed ceiling, is fully fitted and equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and sandwich toaster.
The twin bedroom includes an en suite bathroom with a three-piece suite comprising a bath with shower over, a heated towel rail and a wall heater.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the two acres of landscaped gardens surrounding the property, with garden furniture positioned throughout the grounds. A delightful summerhouse offers far-reaching views across the Cleveland Hills and provides a tranquil spot to relax.
All bed linen and towels are provided, and electric blankets can be supplied on request.
