Higher Trewithen Cottages, Stithians, Falmouth, Cornwall

Higher Trewithen Cottages offer delightful self-catering accommodation in Stithians. Our Cornish cottages are ideal for families or groups and close to Falmouth.

They have apartments and cottages to choose from, sleeping between 2 – 8 people. All the cottages are well-equipped and based in four acres of secluded gardens, pasture and woodland. Onsite they also have a children’s playground.

Hayloft

The first-floor apartment sleeps up to eight people in a double bedroom, a super-king room and a third bedroom with 3 single beds (a fourth folding bed can be added). The bedrooms share the bathroom. This has a large walk-in shower, bath and toilet. Another separate toilet is available. A large lounge offers comfortable seating and a dining table with chairs. There is a good-sized kitchen that has a dishwasher as well as everything else you need for an unforgettable holiday.

Dairy

This Cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Both rooms include zip and link beds that can be adapted from a super king and twin rooms to be made as super kings or made as four single beds. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, toilet and basin. A separate toilet is available. The lounge/kitchen/dining area is spacious and open-plan. Comfortable seating is provided in the lounge area and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need.

Stable

Our cottage sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms. Both rooms include zip and link beds that can be adapted from a super king and twin room to be made super kings or made as four single beds. It offers an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining. The kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you will need.

The Barn

The Barn is spread out over two floors and sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms. There is a super-king, a double and a twin room. The rooms share a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a separate toilet. The large lounge area offers comfortable seating and a TV. The kitchen is small but offers everything you will need.

Weavers

This first-floor apartment which sleeps up to four people in a double and a twin that can be made as super-king. The lounge offers comfortable seating and there is a kitchen that is fully equipped.

Nook

This is a ground-floor, spacious cottage that sleeps two people. An ideal place for a romantic break away. The spacious lounge has a TV, and dining table with chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bedroom comes with a super-king that can be made as a twin. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.

The Cottage

The cottage sleeps up to 2 people and is based within the grounds of a 17th Century farm. The cottage offers views of the communal courtyard and comes with a kitchen/dining area and a large living room. The kitchen is well-equipped with a range of appliances.

Visiting Stithians & Exploring Cornwall

They are perfectly placed for exploring the parish of Stithians, famous for watersports and wildlife. Stithians Lake is nearby and has something for everyone. The network of paths at the lake are great for walking, jogging or cycling. Close by is the beautiful town of Falmouth.

The Lodge Trust Country Park, Oakham, Market Overton, Rutland

The Lodge Trust Country Park offers outstanding self-catering accommodation near the market town of Oakham. We are a haven for countryside lovers looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in Rutland.

Accommodation

Our cabins have recently been awarded a strong 3-star rating by Visit England Quality in Tourism and a level 2 Mobility rating under their National Accessibility Scheme. This means our cabins are ‘... typically suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for those who may need to use a wheelchair some of the time…’

Both wheelchair-accessible log cabins are self-contained with all the expected modern conveniences. Each cabin has one double and one twin bedroom (all bedding and towels are provided), a level entry shower room, fully equipped kitchen/diner which includes a dishwasher, fridge, built-in fan oven and ceramic hob.

The living area has two comfortable settees and a television with a DVD player. You could even enjoy some alfresco dining on the spacious veranda where you can take in the view or do a spot of bird watching.

There is a parking space for two cars next to each cabin. We have a small laundry facility which can be made available to you for a nominal charge.

Visiting Oakham & Exploring Rutland

Set in ten acres of meadowland, you can enjoy the local beauty of the Rutland countryside. Rutland Water is only a 10-minute car journey and the market towns of Oakham, Stamford, Grantham and Melton Mowbray are all within easy reach.

For those who would enjoy some local history, we have Burghley House, Belvoir Castle and Rockingham Castle within easy travelling distance. For the children, there is the Rutland Falconry and Owl Centre close by, Twin Lakes near Melton Mowbray, Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre near Peterborough and much more.

Dittisham Hideaway Treehouses & Shepherds Huts, Dittisham, Dartmouth, Devon

Dittisham Hideaway offers luxurious accommodation on the outskirts of Dittisham. We are nestled in a glorious Devonshire countryside setting, offering shepherd lodges, treehouses and an American Airstream. Only a mile away is the River Dart and you can visit the beautiful coastal town of Dartmouth.

Shepherd Lodges

We have 5 hand-crafted shepherd lodges to choose from, created by West Country Artisans. The lodges are based in the old meadow of wildflowers and have stylish interiors including bespoke fittings, made-to-measure furnishings and designer fabrics.

All the lodges include a fully equipped kitchen, a foldaway breakfast bar and a bathroom with a double walk-in power shower. The lodges sleep 2 adults in 1 king bed. A mini shepherd's lodge with 2 sets of bunk beds adjoins one of one the lodges, to provide accommodation for 2 adults and up to 4 children.

Outside each lodge, there is a terrace area with loungers, an outdoor dining area, BBQ and a hammock. You can unwind in the traditional wood-fired outdoor cedar hot tub.

American Airstream

Our stylishly renovated 1956 Vintage American Airstream is set in a private woodland setting and enjoys views of the rolling hills. The airstream offers a retro style and includes a range of facilities including Wi-Fi, a combination oven, an induction hob, fridge, ice box, dishwasher, power shower, and under-floor heating and air conditioning, smart TV and sound system.

The Airstream sleeps 2 in total and outside we have a decking area with a dining table and chairs, offering a great spot for a coffee in the morning. You can relax in the Oak Japanese wood-fired spa bath. There are sun loungers, a double hammock, outdoor chess and table football.

Treehouses – Woodpecker, Buzzard, Pheasant and Owl

We offer accommodation in 4 treehouses, all based in a countryside location. On arrival, we offer a hamper, offering treats, a continental breakfast and a complimentary bottle of wine. The treehouses are finished to a high standard and sleeps 2 adults and 3 children in a king-size double and a triple bunk bed in a separate room. The bedrooms come with Egyptian cotton bed linen and en suite facilities.

All the treehouses include underfloor heating, a wood burner and a fully-equipped kitchen including a Nespresso coffee machine. Outside we have an outdoor chess set, outdoor table football, sun loungers, BBQ with a dining area and a hammock. You can soak your troubles away in the hot tub.

Visiting Dittisham & Exploring Devon

We are in a brilliant location for discovering all that the local area has to offer. There are lots of cycling and walking routes, including a footpath alongside the River Dart. You can visit the town of Dartmouth, home to restaurants, shops, art galleries and much more.
