Fingask Castle Estate Overview
Nestled in the heart of a 250-acre Perthshire estate, Fingask Castle lies halfway between Perth and Dundee, just minutes from the A90. Visitors arrive via a sweeping drive that crosses a historic stone bridge above St Peter’s Well. The castle is surrounded by ancient woodland, sculpted topiary gardens, and panoramic views stretching southwards to the Firth of Tay and the hills of Fife.
Scattered throughout the estate are a collection of elegant Victorian buildings that have been carefully restored and converted into comfortable self-catering holiday cottages. Each property boasts its own character, featuring open fires, modern kitchens, and access to estate amenities including a summer swimming pool, tennis court, and games room. The estate caters to family gatherings, wedding parties, and group holidays of up to seventy guests looking to explore central Scotland in a peaceful and picturesque setting.

Sir Stuart’s House
A spacious lakeside home ideal for larger groups or families, Sir Stuart’s House features an open-plan ground floor with a fully equipped kitchen (including electric Aga-style cooker, American fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer-dryer, and microwave), and a lounge-diner with open fire, TV/DVD, estate logs, and rural-speed Wi-Fi. The ground floor also includes a double bedroom with en-suite shower.
Upstairs are three en-suite twin rooms, an additional twin bedroom adjacent to a full bathroom, and a flexible room with a daybed next to another bathroom. An optional Bothy (twin with en-suite) in the private garden increases capacity to 14 guests. The house is encircled by gardens and a lake (unfenced), with a patio, brick BBQ, and outdoor seating. Parking is located 100 metres away, with a hand cart provided for transporting luggage.

Beech Tree Cottage
Located at the end of the courtyard, this two-storey cottage is warmed by oil central heating and a welcoming log fire. The ground floor features a sitting/dining room opening onto a shared lawn, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a double bedroom with en-suite shower, and a utility room with WC and washer.
Upstairs are a single cabin room, a twin room, a triple room, a bathroom, and a family shower room. A camp bed is available upon request. Outdoor garden furniture (Spring–Autumn) and nearby shared play area with trampoline, swing, and climbing frame make it ideal for families.

Redwood Cottage
Situated at the courtyard entrance, Redwood Cottage opens from a covered parking area onto a shared lawn with seasonal outdoor furniture. The ground floor includes a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge-diner with open fire and seating for eight, a garden-view double bedroom, and a period roll-top bath with WC.
Upstairs are two twin rooms (one with sofa-bed and en-suite WC), a single bedroom, and a separate shower room. Oil heating, firelighters, and logs are provided.

Sycamore Cottage
Set in a courtyard corner, Sycamore Cottage offers front access to parking and a back entrance to a shared lawn. The open-plan lounge-diner centres on a log fire and connects to a fully equipped kitchen. Gean Tree Cottage
Situated near the estate’s swimming pool and woodland paths, Gean Tree Cottage is a single-level home (with two steps at entry) set beside a hedge-screened garden. The interior includes a living-dining area with log fire and TV/DVD, and a well-equipped kitchen. One double bedroom, one single room, and a bathroom with separate shower and bath complete the layout. Camp bed available on request.

The Potting Sheds
Nine Potting Sheds sit along the walled garden, offering simple, stylish en-suite twin rooms. Ideal for wedding guests or overflow accommodation, each includes a wet room with shower, basin, and WC, as well as towels, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee-making facilities, and Wi-Fi.

The Boat House
Perched beside a peaceful pond, the Boat House is a secluded, romantic retreat with one double bedroom, en-suite shower room, and a compact sitting area. Glass doors open onto a deck almost at water level, making it ideal for honeymooners or quiet getaways.
