Gulls Nest Holiday Cottage offers wonderful self-catering accommodation in Mousehole. We are based near Penzance and just 50 meters from the sea, harbour and beaches, perfect for the ultimate coastal holiday in Cornwall.

Our fabulous property is tastefully furnished and brimming with plenty of character and charm.

You can cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen which comes with a range of appliances, including an electric AGA-style oven. Unwind in the cosy lounge/dining area which comes with a log burner for those chilly days and a cosy sofa.

Bedrooms consist of a master room and twin room, with both boasting magnificent exposed beams. The twin room also has a further single bed named The Pirate Den (not suitable for small children).

Outside there is a private garden with a table and chairs, perfect for a coffee in the morning sun.

Only a gentle 1–2-minute walk away is Mousehole Harbour, offering two stunning beaches and amazing scenery. You can also visit the Mousehole Wilde Bird Hospital, home to an amazing array of birds. Hen Joppa is situated at Newlyn near Mousehole and is a beautiful self catering holiday home that has spectacular views of the Cornish coastline. This holiday home can sleep up to 6 people and is a great place to stay no matter the time of year. It is close to many attractions throughout Cornwall and local amenities are within easy walking distance.

This Mediterranean style holiday home is the ideal space for a family or group of friends who want to enjoy a break away to the Cornish coast. The holiday home has 3 luxurious en suite double bedrooms, all of which have their own TV. The master bedroom is annexed by a quicky separate staircase; however access can be made to the rest of the bedroom floor by using the secret (fully soundproofed and lockable) bookcase. There are 2 super king sided or twin beds as required and a standard double. Underfloor heating can be found in the master and middle en suites along with heated towel rails. All beds are made up during your stay with quality bedding and clean fresh sheets, guests who stay more than 1 week also will receive a free linen change every Saturday.

There is a collection of DVD’s & CD’s for you to enjoy during your stay. The holiday cottage is centrally heated for all year round use. The kitchen includes many homely appliances such as dish washer, microwave, washing machine, dryer, fridge/freezer and a cottage Belfast sink. A welcome pack of tea, coffee and flowers will be waiting for your arrival.

Outside of the holiday home is a large roof balcony and a front verandah where you can enjoy spectacular panoramic coastal views. The roof balcony has the feel of a Mediterranean style roof garden and has a set of table and chairs where you can sit and watch the waves roll in. Perfect at any time of year and for those keen on fishing, don’t forget your rod!

Newlyn is a traditional working village of great character. Newlyn hosts several good pubs and eating places, one of which is the 'Tolcarne Inn' which is a real ale house offering Michelin star catering. Penzance is just a 10 min level walk along the promenade and you can walk to Mousehole along the coastal path in around 20 mins, or to St. Michael's Mount and Marazion to the east.

An attractive character cottage around 1800 located in the heart of a small fishing village. South facing sunny position with a palm tree in the paved forecourt, enclosed by a brick wall and double wrought iron gates. On-premises parking facilities.

Mousehole was originally a small fishing port. Very close to the cottage are the village stores with post office, newsagents and gift shops. There are several very good restaurants and a local pub within walking distance of the cottage.

Minack Theatre is nearby at Porthcurno which was founded in 1932 and every year from June to September there are outdoor musical and opera performances, held on the cliff edge by the sea. The spectacular Eden Project is near St Austell, which is approximately 50 miles from Mousehole. There are several attractive gardens to visit within a few miles of Mousehole, the closest being Morrab Gardens, and Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, both close to Penzance.

There is a very good regular bus service from Mousehole harbour to Penzance and also a helicopter flight from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly. There are regular fishing trips which can be taken from Mousehole and nearby Newlyn.
