Red Tiles Barn, Stoney Stratton, Evercreech, Somerset (Sleeps 1-4)

Red Tiles Barn is a homely holiday cottage, situated in a lovely part of Somerset just a mile from Evercreech on the outskirts of the farming hamlet of Stoney Stratton. The area is very rural (predominantly dairy farming) with rolling hills and rich pasture all around. There are many local footpaths and numerous lovely walks that can be started from the front doorstep.

Our holiday home was built at the end of the 19th Century and was originally used as a milking barn. It has been tastefully converted to offer comfortable self catering accommodation for up to 4 people yet still retaining much of its original character.

On the ground floor of the holiday home is an open plan kitchen/dining/living area and a bathroom with bath and overhead power shower. The bathroom is tiled throughout and has underfloor heating. Both bedrooms are upstairs and are set up as a double and a twin. They have the original beams and a separate wardrobe area.

Lying near the southern edge of the Mendip Hills, Stoney Stratton is within an easy drive of many significant attractions. Wells, Glastonbury, the Mendips, the Somerset levels and Longleat are all close by, while Bath, Bristol, the Somerset coast and a number of National Trust properties are within an hour’s drive. The Royal Bath and West Show Ground is only two miles away.

Woodcombe Lodges, Minehead, Exmoor, Somerset (Sleeps 1-10)

Woodcombe Lodges offer two self-catering cottages and six lodges with a four-star rating, situated in Minehead in rural Somerset. These holiday cottages are based on the boundary of the Exmoor National Park in a beautiful three-acre garden, with outstanding views over the wooded slopes of Exmoor. 

There are two stone holiday cottages and six timber lodges with fully fitted kitchens including fridge freezers, microwaves and some with dishwashers and washing machines; all have televisions and DVDs and heating throughout. Wi-Fi is available. Disabled access is provided in some lodges and we allow one dog in some lodges as well. We also have a superb games room with a full-size table tennis table, pool table and table football available for guests to use.

Minehead has Exmoor on its doorstep and the Quantocks within easy reach. This provides plenty of opportunities for getting out into the countryside are endless. The South West Coastal Path, The Coleridge Way, The Macmillan Way, the Exmoor Perambulation, The Samaritans Way all pass within striking distance. Those wishing to walk their dogs on the beach will find Minehead beach beyond the golf course, Dunster beach and Blue Anchor beach open to them throughout the year. Minehead beach is open in full in the winter months. There are a number of guides and books available to help you explore the fantastic scenery throughout this area.

The Granary is a beautifully converted barn situated outside of Taunton, set amidst beautiful Somerset countryside by the village of Wrantage.
