Peterswell is a beautiful, high-spec cottage nestled on the edge of Houston conservation village, just 10 minutes from Glasgow Airport. Accommodation

The property has been recently converted to a high standard, ensuring a pristine finish throughout with a strong focus on comfort. Loveny Cottage – Sleeps 6

Loveny Cottage is the largest of the three properties and enjoys views from the living room across its own enclosed garden and the surrounding parkland, with a lake beyond. This centrally heated cottage offers three twin bedrooms and a family bathroom, while the master bedroom benefits from an adjoining en suite shower room.

Downstairs, there is a spacious kitchen/diner, a large hallway ideal for coats and boots, and a comfortable living room. Patio doors lead from the living room into the enclosed garden overlooking the parkland and lake.

Parr Cottage – Sleeps 5/6

Parr Cottage is a warm, centrally heated property featuring a first-floor open-plan living and dining room with a stove and beamed ceiling. Off the dining area is a fully fitted kitchen, along with an external stable door providing access to outside steps leading down to the courtyard.

Peal Cottage – Sleeps 6

Peal Cottage enjoys views from the living room across its enclosed garden and the parkland with a lake beyond. This centrally heated cottage features a ground-floor open-plan living room with vaulted ceiling and dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, and a master bedroom with en suite shower room.

On the first floor, there are two further bedrooms (one twin room and one with bunk beds), as well as a family bathroom.

Fishing at Wainsford

Wainsford is located five miles from the tide and, given reasonable water levels, is a popular holding reach for sea trout and salmon fresh from the sea. The River Fowey has long held a reputation as one of the best sea trout rivers in the UK.

Wainsford offers approximately 1.45km of mixed single and dual bank salmon and sea trout fishing, predominantly along the River Fowey. The fishing is organised into three beats, with a maximum of two rods permitted per beat at any one time. When rods are shared by different parties, a daily rota system is used. Fishing is available at an additional charge.

Visiting the Area

Set within 19 acres of grounds, guests are free to explore the open parkland, wander along the shady riverbank, or cross the Warleggan River into the meadow and ancient woodland beyond.

Bodmin, Looe, Polperro, Fowey and Liskeard are all within easy reach by car. The dog-friendly Par Sands, St Austell and the world-famous Eden Project are also just a short drive away.

Old Corn Mill (Sleeps 6)
Old Corn Mill is the largest of the three properties and is a striking barn conversion offering spacious accommodation for up to six guests. Once used for grinding corn from the farm’s arable land, the barn retains a wealth of original beams and character, resulting in a truly memorable holiday home.

Old Dairy (Sleeps 4)
The Old Dairy, once used for milk storage, sits at the centre of the courtyard and has a slightly more contemporary feel. Henry’s Barn is named after a much-loved golden Labrador who lived there many years ago. This beautifully converted barn retains its original beamed character while offering all the modern facilities expected from high-quality accommodation. Guests can enjoy stunning views across the meadows, with large patio doors and a private terrace allowing full appreciation of the beautiful surroundings.

When all three cottages are booked together, Old Hall Farm can accommodate up to 16 guests. All cottages are located within the same courtyard, making them ideal for family gatherings or group holidays.

Guests have access to an indoor play barn, which houses a well-equipped games room featuring table tennis, a pool table and a giant draughts board. The Norfolk border is just eight miles away, with Beccles and the gateway to the Broads also within easy reach.
