Set in the peaceful Eskdale Valley within the Lake District National Park, The Chalets provide a relaxing countryside retreat. Just a short distance from the village of Boot, the property features four self-catering cottages surrounded by spacious riverside gardens beside the River Esk, creating a tranquil setting for a restful getaway.
Accommodation
The Chalets offer spacious, tastefully furnished accommodation that has been awarded four stars by the English Tourist Board for self-catering. Each cottage sleeps up to four guests and includes two generously sized bedrooms, one double and one twin. All bedrooms can accommodate a cot if required.
The large living and dining area provides a welcoming family space with comfortable sofas, discreet lighting, books, DVDs, games and magazines. A 32-inch LED TV with a DVD player helps create a cosy and homely atmosphere.
Each chalet is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, with double glazing, central heating and well-appointed kitchens. Bathrooms include a bath with a shower over, and complimentary bath products and large fluffy towels are provided to help guests relax after a day exploring the surrounding hills and countryside.
Outside, each chalet has its own private south-facing deck with a table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining while enjoying the peaceful riverside setting.
For added convenience, The Boot Room provides a large drying rack, washing machine and tumble dryer, ideal after wet walks or outdoor adventures. There is also space for storing children’s buggies, bikes and other outdoor equipment.
Visiting the Area
Beckfoot in Cumbria is well placed for exploring both the coast and the western Lake District. Nearby, visitors can enjoy the long sandy beaches at Allonby, which are perfect for coastal walks and sea views across the Solway Firth. A short drive away is the historic town of Maryport, home to the fascinating Senhouse Roman Museum and a charming harbour.
For those wanting to explore the Lake District further, the market town of Cockermouth and the beautiful lakes and fells around Bassenthwaite Lake are also within easy reach.
