Braeside Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in the small crofting village of Tarskavaig, located at the southern tip of the Isle of Skye. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, it provides an ideal retreat for those seeking peace, quiet and a truly relaxing escape.
Accommodation
The self-catering holiday cottage sleeps up to six guests and is fully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Perfect for families, couples or small groups, it offers an excellent base for exploring the local area while enjoying a true home-from-home experience.
The cosy sitting room features a traditional coal fire, electric heater and a TV with Freesat channels, along with a radio and CD player, creating a warm and inviting space to unwind after a day of sightseeing. A bright sun porch with comfortable seating overlooks the garden, providing an additional area to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.
The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped for easy self-catering and includes a fridge freezer, washing machine, electric cooker and microwave oven, making home cooking simple and convenient throughout the stay.
There are three comfortable bedrooms in total, comprising two double rooms and one twin room, accommodating up to six guests. Upstairs, there is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, while a separate ground floor shower room offers added convenience. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Outside, the enclosed garden features a BBQ and outdoor seating area, ideal for al fresco dining and enjoying warm summer evenings.
Visiting the Area
Tarskavaig is home to some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife. Visitors can climb the famous Cuillin Mountains or enjoy a gentler walk around Clan Donald Skye Gardens. Guests may also sample Gaelic whiskies at Hotel Eilean Iarmain or enjoy fishing in one of the many lochs and rivers nearby.
