Accommodation
The stylish lodge is designed to provide everything needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. It is dog friendly and features an enclosed grassed garden for four-legged guests. Dogs stay free of charge with no restrictions on numbers, although guests are asked to check that the property is suitable for their furry companions.
The lodge includes a well-equipped kitchen for home dining, featuring a full-size fridge freezer, microwave, oven, grill, hob, toaster, cafetière and kettle. The dining table comfortably seats six guests, making it ideal for enjoying meals together.
After a day exploring or enjoying the water activities nearby, guests can relax in the lounge while taking in the spectacular lake views. The lounge includes comfortable seating, a Smart TV and Blu-ray player. A cot and highchair are also provided for families.
There are two attractive bedrooms, including a king-size bedroom with en-suite facilities and a flexible twin/double bedroom. A second shower room is also available. The lounge also contains a sofa bed for additional sleeping space.
Three steps lead to the impressive 40ft wraparound veranda and decking area, which includes a suntrap deck with a canopy overlooking the lake. In addition to the enclosed grassed garden, there is a dedicated enclosed and private lower patio with a large waterside luxury hot tub, picnic table with sun shade and easy chairs. This private area offers a peaceful space to relax, and with minimal light pollution, guests can enjoy spectacular stargazing in the evenings.
The hot tub is professionally maintained between guests in line with HSG282 guidelines to ensure a clean and safe experience. Steps lead down to a private jetty, ideal for paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. The outdoor space is fully gated and enclosed with 4-foot wooden fencing and screening, providing flexibility and security for guests and dogs.
Visiting Tallington Lakes & The Surrounding Area
Tallington Lakes offers a wide range of family-friendly activities. Facilities include a dry ski slope, a tobogganing run, a climbing wall and a children’s playground. From April to September, the water activities centre provides opportunities to enjoy the lake with activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, open water swimming, jet skiing and water skiing. Visitors can also enjoy zorbing and banana boat rides.
The site also features a seasonal heated open-air swimming pool and a dog-friendly Lakeside Bar and Restaurant within walking distance of the lodge.
The lodge is ideally located for exploring the surrounding counties of Lincolnshire, Rutland and Cambridgeshire. The nearby Georgian town of Stamford offers charming independent shops and excellent restaurants. Visitors can also explore Oakham and Uppingham, both known for their attractive streets and boutique shops.
