Pule Cottage is beautifully positioned at the end of a row of 18th-century crofter’s cottages, sitting high above Halifax and offering breathtaking views across the rural countryside of Calderdale. Just a five-minute drive from the town centre, the cottage enjoys a truly special setting that combines peace and seclusion with excellent accessibility.
Ideal for a relaxing getaway, whether for a weekend or a longer stay, Pule Cottage provides a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Nearby destinations include Skipton, Haworth and Hebden Bridge, along with the stunning landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales. With convenient access to the M62 and M1, guests can easily explore both Halifax and the wider region. The area itself gained national attention during the Tour de France in 2014 and continues to host the annual Tour de Yorkshire.
The cottage has been fully renovated and refurbished to a high standard, while retaining its original character. Features such as exposed beams, stone mullioned windows and traditional stonework have been carefully restored. The sitting room boasts flagged stone flooring, an original inglenook fireplace and a log-burning stove, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere.
There are two en-suite facilities, including a bathroom on the first-floor bedroom and a walk-in shower room on the ground floor, offering both comfort and convenience.
A separate snug/kitchen diner provides a versatile space for relaxing, watching TV or catching up on emails. The fully integrated kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, washer/dryer and a Belfast sink, all complemented by picturesque views from the window. Outside, a delightful sun terrace offers the perfect spot to unwind and take in the surrounding countryside.
The local area offers a wide range of attractions, including The Piece Hall, Bankfield Museum, Shibden Hall, Ogden Water Country Park, Halifax Minster, Calderdale Industrial Museum and Eureka! The National Children’s Museum.
