Lôn Lodges are located at The Lôn, a family-run hill farm in the parish of Nantmel, just four miles from the small market town of Rhayader. Two of the self-catering lodges have been sustainably built using locally sourced timber and each can accommodate up to six guests, offering comfortable, high-quality accommodation in the peaceful countryside of Mid Wales. In addition, there is a safari lodge which also sleeps six guests, providing another unique option for those seeking a rural escape. Lôn Lodges welcome walkers and cyclists and the accommodation has been approved by Visit Wales after meeting the standards of the Walkers and Cyclists Welcome Scheme.
The lodges provide an excellent place to relax and unwind, while also serving as an ideal base for exploring central Wales. There are numerous walking routes, quiet country lanes for cycling and a variety of mountain biking trails nearby. Nature reserves, pony trekking and fishing can all be found close to the lodges, while the surrounding countryside is a haven for birdwatchers. The area is also known for fungi forays and guided mushroom hunts.
Ash & Sycamore Lodges
Ash Lodge and Sycamore Lodge are luxurious, identical lodges that have been tastefully decorated and furnished to ensure guests enjoy a relaxing and tranquil retreat. Both lodges feature eco air conditioning to keep them cool during the summer months.

Stellar Safari Lodge
Stellar Safari Lodge is a luxury glamping retreat set among trees on a private family farm near Rhayader in the scenic countryside of Mid Wales. Designed to sleep up to six guests, the spacious safari-style lodge combines the experience of camping with the comfort of modern accommodation.
The lodge features a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living and dining space, a wood-burning stove and a private en-suite shower room. Guests can relax outdoors on the veranda deck, enjoy alfresco dining or unwind in the wood-fired hot tub and traditional sauna. A fire pit and pizza oven create the perfect setting for evenings spent outdoors beneath the stars.

Visiting the Area
Red kites are frequently seen soaring overhead, and the Gigrin Red Kite Feeding Station is located nearby just outside Rhayader. The reservoirs and open moorlands of the Elan Valley are only a few miles away and are wonderful to explore on foot, by bicycle, on horseback or by car.
The nearby towns of Rhayader, known as the Outdoors Capital of Wales, Llanidloes, Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells, Presteigne, Knighton (on Offa’s Dyke) and Hay-on-Wye each offer their own unique character and are well worth visiting. Throughout the summer months, many local events take place, including village shows, sheepdog trials and trotting races. Guests can also enjoy farm walks and nature trails in the surrounding countryside.
A little further west lies the coastal town of Aberystwyth and the beautiful coastal nature reserve of Ynys-las. The Brecon Beacons National Park is to the south and Snowdonia to the north, both within reach for a day trip.
