North End Farm offers self-catering accommodation in the village of Chideock, near Bridport. Set within the beautiful Dorset countryside, the properties provide an ideal setting for a relaxing and memorable retreat. North End Farmhouse
The farmhouse overlooks the lake and is perfect for families or groups seeking a special place to stay. It enjoys stunning views of the lake and rolling countryside.
Sleeping up to 14 guests across six bedrooms, the farmhouse includes three doubles, one twin and a four-bedded room upstairs. A downstairs bedroom features two orthopaedic single beds that can be pushed together, along with an adjacent wet room. There is one en suite bedroom and two additional family bathrooms.
The well-equipped kitchen includes a gas-fired Aga with two ovens and hobs, alongside a large gas range with electric ovens. The dining table, crafted by local artisan James Verner using Olive Ash from the farm, comfortably seats 14 guests. The property also boasts two sitting rooms, a snug with an inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove, and a great hall featuring a large Tudor stone fireplace with an open fire and a hidden spiral staircase.
The Old Cricket Pavilion
This property features its own enclosed garden and seating area with a BBQ, ideal for al fresco dining. With beautiful views and a double sofa bed, it accommodates up to 3–4 guests. When booked alongside the farmhouse, North End Farm can host up to 17 guests plus infants.
The living/dining area includes a wood burner, Freeview TV and sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the bedroom features a king-size bed.
The Old Dairy
The Old Dairy offers an open-plan living, kitchen and dining space, complete with a wood burner, piano, two sofas and a six-seater dining table. It can be combined with The Cider House via an internal door to create a larger property with four bathrooms, two open-plan living areas and two wood burners.
Outside, there is a south-facing garden with BBQ and garden furniture, perfect for enjoying meals outdoors.
The Brewery
The Brewery is a unique and spacious three-bedroom detached property, thoughtfully converted for comfort. Set within a large garden and with access to an organic farm featuring natural swimming ponds, it provides a peaceful countryside escape.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area includes a range cooker, large fridge freezer and a dining table seating eight. Both the bedrooms and living areas benefit from beautiful countryside views.
North End Farm Cabin
The glamping cabin offers a luxurious alternative to traditional camping. Inside, there is a bed, dining area and wood burner, with access to shower facilities. Outside, guests can enjoy a private seating area.
The farm also features a charming thatched barn, available by arrangement for private functions.
Visiting Chideock & Exploring Dorset
There are many attractions nearby, including the Tank Museum at Bovington, Abbotsbury Swannery and gardens, Crealy Adventure Park and Monkey World. Coastal destinations such as Lyme Regis, West Bay and Weymouth are within easy reach, offering a variety of seaside activities. Inland towns including Dorchester, Sherborne and Bridport provide history, culture and charm.
Local attractions include Bridport Museum, Golden Cap, Eype Beach, Furleigh Estate and Eggardon Hill.
