Located on a working farm near the village of Roston, the cottage enjoys a peaceful rural position while remaining easily accessible, offering guests the ideal balance of tranquillity without feeling isolated. Accommodation
Inside, Meadow Cottage provides a warm and comfortable retreat, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The living room features comfortable seating, a cosy log burner and a formal dining area with countryside views. Entertainment includes a Smart TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, a radio/CD player and fast fibre broadband, making the cottage suitable for both relaxing breaks and longer stays.
The spacious family kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering holidays and includes a four-point electric hob, fridge freezer, washing machine and a casual breakfast table for informal meals. All essential electrical appliances are provided. Outside, guests can make use of a washing line and a BBQ, ideal for dining in the fresh country air.
The cottage comfortably accommodates up to six guests and can also provide space for a cot if required. There are three well-proportioned bedrooms: one double bedroom, a second bedroom with two single beds that can be arranged as a double, and a third bedroom with two full-sized single beds. Each room offers ample storage and is styled with a charming mix of traditional country cottage character and modern comfort.
Meadow Cottage is largely single-storey, making it suitable for guests with a range of mobility needs. The second and third bedrooms are accessed via two small internal steps, while the remainder of the accommodation is on one level. The cottage welcomes guests of differing abilities and offers a practical and accessible layout wherever possible.
Double glazing and oil-fuelled central heating throughout ensure a cosy stay in all seasons. The property has one family bathroom with a bath, overhead power shower and toilet. Towels are provided, including a bath mat for children, and the bathroom enjoys pleasant views over the surrounding fields.
Outside, guests can relax on the patio area with garden furniture and a coal BBQ. Free off-street parking is available for three to four vehicles. To the front of the cottage is a fenced orchard, while a large fenced grass area to the rear provides a safe space for children to play or for dogs to exercise. Meadow Cottage is dog and pet friendly, making it an excellent choice for family holidays with four-legged companions.

The cottage is ideally positioned for exploring both Derbyshire and Staffordshire. It lies just six miles from Alton Towers, Ashbourne and Uttoxeter and sits at the gateway to the Peak District. With excellent access to the A50, Meadow Cottage offers a convenient central meeting point for families and friends, while remaining surrounded by peaceful countryside. Nearby attractions include Buxton Opera House, Sudbury Hall, Matlock Bath Aquarium, Riber Castle, Chatsworth House, Kedleston Hall, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Poole’s Cavern in Buxton, among many others.
