Lochawe Luxury Eco Cabins, Lochawe, Argyll

Loch Awe Luxury Eco Cabins offer a peaceful escape where guests can slow down, head out on adventures and soak up the beauty of this remarkable corner of Scotland. Visitors can picture themselves relaxing out on the deck or curled up beside their own crackling wood-burning stove, favourite drink in hand, reflecting on a day well spent exploring and planning tomorrow’s discoveries.

Accommodation

These thoughtfully designed eco cabins were created by architects to make the most of their outstanding surroundings. Perfect for couples, they combine high-end comfort with a light environmental footprint, using mainly solar power and the warmth of a wood-burning stove. Blending indulgence with responsible design, each cabin is positioned to showcase sweeping views of the loch and surrounding mountains.

Guests can take in the scenery from the comfort of the wood-burning stove indoors or step out onto their private deck to enjoy breakfast while mapping out the day ahead, then unwind in the evening with a favourite drink and a moment to truly switch off. With just two cabins on site, each one has been cleverly designed to offer stylish, fully self-contained living that feels both efficient and surprisingly spacious.

Each split-level interior is entered via a private deck, with steps leading down beneath a gently rising ceiling from the living area to the bedroom. Tall windows frame stunning views of Loch Awe and flood the space with natural daylight.

The interiors have a modern Scandi feel, with walls lined in natural wood and complemented by elegant furnishings. Innovative, sustainable materials have been used throughout to create a distinctive and beautiful finish.

Parking is located below the cabins, followed by a short walk up some steps to the front door. The wood-burning stove is ready for guests to light on arrival and quickly makes the cabin cosy whenever needed, with logs and kindling provided. A small gas boiler supplies hot water on demand. There is a two-ring gas burner for cooking and a small fridge to keep food and drinks cool. A breakfast bar is available for indoor dining, along with a table and chairs on the deck for outdoor meals.

Visiting the Area

Staying here places guests in an ideal location to discover the very best of this remarkable region. Adventurous visitors can tackle the climb up Ben Cruachan for a true Highland challenge, while those seeking a gentler pace can enjoy scenic forest walks close by. Guests can step into the past at Kilchurn Castle and St Conan’s Kirk, both within easy walking distance, spend time fishing or boating on Loch Awe, or venture further afield to explore the ancient sites of Kilmartin Glen. The striking, world-famous landscapes of Glencoe are also within easy reach for an unforgettable day out.
