Buckland House
Buckland House sleeps up to 14 guests, with rates from £1350 to £3900. The entrance porch leads into the main hall, with the principal reception rooms branching off. A south-facing sitting room features large windows overlooking the gardens, along with a wood burner, Freeview TV, radio and CD player. There is also a second lounge with an open log fire, TV, video and DVD player.
A wood-panelled den with bar billiards and a piano leads through to a large conservatory overlooking the rear garden and ponds. The conservatory is furnished as a relaxing space and can also be used for breakfast or dining, with a wood-burning stove providing warmth during colder months. Steps outside lead to a raised patio overlooking the first of the duck ponds and the extensive rear garden.
The large, traditional slate-flagged farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catering stay, including a modern gas Rangemaster with electric ovens, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and food processor. Plenty of storage is available, and a peninsula unit divides the kitchen from the eating area, which features a large dining table seating twelve, a Welsh dresser, high chair and TV. Adjacent to this is a laundry and drying room with a Butler sink, two washing machines, tumble dryer, airing line and ironing board.
On the ground floor, there is also a studio apartment with a small kitchen area, sitting area with TV and DVD player, a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and views over the duck pond and garden. This space is suitable for partially disabled guests.
Upstairs, the bedrooms include a luxury master double room with two beds that can be arranged as either twin singles or clipped together to create a king size bed. The master bedroom has an en-suite with a power shower over the bath, wash basin and WC. The second luxury bedroom includes a double bed and a luxury shower room with a double-sized shower, wash basin and WC. The third and fourth double bedrooms feature twin beds and fitted furniture with garden views. Bedroom five offers full-size twin bunk beds with courtyard views, while bedroom six is a double bedroom with fitted furniture and a vanity basin. The main bathroom includes a bath with power shower over, wash basin and WC. All bathrooms are fitted with large illuminated mirrors, heated towel rails and shaver points.
Outside, Buckland House is set within an enclosed private garden of around one acre, with private parking for up to six cars. A patio area and plenty of garden furniture are also provided.

Cherry Cottage
Cherry Cottage sleeps up to 8 guests, with rates from £570 to £1500. It is the most recently built holiday cottage at Buckland Court. The entrance leads to a cloakroom with WC, shaver point and wash basin. Opposite is a living room furnished with a three-seater sofa, Freeview TV, DVD player, video and a dining table with chairs.
The beamed kitchen/diner is fully fitted and includes a gas hob, electric double oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. A dining area features a large pine table seating up to eight.
Stairs from the kitchen lead to the first-floor landing, with four bedrooms. The large master bedroom includes a double bed and an en-suite shower room with power shower, wash basin and WC. There is a second double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom and a room with full-size bunk beds. The main bathroom includes a bath with overhead shower, wash basin and WC.
Outside the cottage, there is a gravelled seating area with benches, bordered by stone walls, shrubs and colourful flower beds. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the adjoining 1.5-acre gardens and orchard. The courtyard provides allocated parking for two cars, with additional parking available behind the Buckland House stables.

Local Area
Buckland is ideally placed for exploring the very best of the South Devon coast. It is only ten minutes from the Blue Flag beach at Blackpool Sands and around twenty minutes from the surfing beach at Bantham, as well as being close to many of the finest natural beaches in the UK. Guests have easy access to the South West Coast Path for walking, along with the wild landscapes of Dartmoor for walking, climbing and riding.
The South Hams offers something for everyone, with opportunities for rambling, birdwatching, swimming, surfing, horse riding, golf, fishing, boating, sailing and windsurfing.
Buckland Court is located in a tranquil sheltered valley surrounded by beautiful countryside, halfway between two of the West Country’s most popular sailing centres of Salcombe and the River Dart. It is also just one and a half miles inland from the historic village of Slapton, home to the world-famous Slapton Ley nature reserve and a three-mile beach stretching from Torcross to Strete Gate.
