The Farmhouse offers superb self catering accommodation in the scenic village of Boscastle. Our recently refurbished farmhouse in Cornwall enjoys wonderful views of the Heritage Coast and the historic village of Boscastle.

Accommodation:

Our gorgeous farmhouse sleeps up to 7 people, great for family or group looking for somewhere special to stay. The house is furnished to a high standard and is less than 200 yards from the coastal path.

The farmhouse is brimming with character and comes with a range of excellent facilities, including a ding flat-screen TV, a DVD player and Wi-Fi. On the ground floor, there is a snug with a toasty log burner, a dining hall and a lounge area with access to the garden. Downstairs there is also a fully equipped kitchen, shower room, downstairs cloakroom and utility room.

Upstairs there is a dual-aspect main bedroom with a comfy king-size bed, offering a lovely place to wake up to the stunning sea and country views. A double, twin and single room are also available. The bathroom boasts a lavish free-standing bath and a large shower.

Outside there is a large garden and patio area with garden furniture, offering a magical spot for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the spectacular sea and country views.

Visiting Boscastle & Exploring Cornwall:

The delightful village of Boscastle is a beautiful place to explore, home to a historic harbour, shops, cafes, restaurants and amazing coastal walks. The village is also in the ideal location for exploring the area. You can visit majestic, rugged cliffs, gorgeous beaches, majestic National Trust properties and the world-famous Eden Project. Brilliant attractions to visit include:

The Farmhouse is situated on our working sheep farm in Kent and is a 16th Century farmhouse that has been sympathetically renovated to offer excellent comfortable and spacious accommodation. Our holiday home can be found outside of Oare by Faversham and is an ideal base for exploring the area, coast and country, with plenty of walks and cycling routes to enjoy. Whatever your preference you will be assured of a warm welcome.

The farmhouse can sleep up to 5 people and is a lovely family holiday home. Our holiday cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounge area and a dining area that can seat up to 5 people. Facilities within the holiday cottage include:

Visiting Oare & Exploring Kent:

The village of Oare is 1 mile away and has two pubs, The Three Mariners and The Castle, both offer very good food. Faversham is a lovely historic market town with three markets days a week, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Antiques and Vintage markets on at the beginning of every month together with an Art Craft and Food market 1st Saturday of the month April to August. There are also some lovely independent shops for all kinds of shopping and plenty of choice for places to eat, many using locally produced food, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Other Tourist Attractions: Shepherd Neame Brewery, Brogdale Fruit Collection, Mount Ephraim House and Gardens, Fleur de Lis Museum and Creek Creative Gallery. There is also fishing and golf nearby.

The Farmhouse is a 200-year-old property that today is a self catering cottage. It is situated in Ganllwyd, Gwynedd. Ganllwyd is a small village within the Snowdonia National Park. Dolgellau market town is a short drive away. This is an ideal base for those looking either to relax or for adventure.

The farmhouse is full of original features. A starter pack of logs is provided and a further supply of wood can be obtained at a small fee.

The Farmhouse, High Lorton, Cockermouth, Cumbria, Lake District National Park

The Farmhouse built in 1741 and that date is burnt into the beam above the main front door has fabulous views down the Lorton valley and forms part of 3 beautiful self catering holiday cottages which reside in an idyllic hillside setting and boast panoramic views of Lorton Valley. The Farmhouse makes an excellent base for wonderful walks and is located just 20 minutes walk from the peaceful Cumbrian village of High Lorton which is only 4 miles away from Cockermouth.

The Farmhouse is a stunning 4 bedroom character property that sleeps up to 9 and retains many of its original features with oak beamed ceilings and some even with their original meat hooks still intact! 

Upon entrance to the property, there is a large dining area and open plan to the kitchen that boasts a long farmhouse table comfortably seating up to nine guests. The kitchen is well equipped for a comfortable family to stay with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge & freezer and there are further laundry facilities in the basement including a tumble drier, and a large chest freezer that guests can also use.

Outside is a shared garden that has picnic tables and benches where guests can sit back and relax and enjoy the stunning 180 degree views. There is also an enclosed area where dogs are free to roam safely and there is gated access which opens onto the fells with lots of wonderful walks right on your doorstep.

The area surrounding the cottage is ideal for walking. There is a wide range of walks straight from the doorstep including 3 lakes. Whinlatter Forest Park offers extensive trails close by for all levels of mountain bikers. Cockermouth town is a short distance away and has beautiful Georgian architecture, places to eat and independent shops.

There are many attractions to visit close by such as Wordsworth House, Derwentwater, Castlerigg Stone Circle, Honister Slate Mine and the Lake District National Park.
