Accommodation is provided across three bedrooms consisting of one double, one twin and one single room. The twin bedroom also has its own TV. Guests have access to a bathroom with a shower over the bath, as well as an additional wet room. Bed linen and towels are included.

Outside, the walled garden features a patio area where guests can enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon meal while taking in the peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery.

Wi-Fi and off-street parking are also available. Children are welcome, while pets can stay by prior arrangement. Dogs must be kept under control because sheep are kept in the surrounding fields. Disabled facilities may also be available by arrangement.

St Margaret's Hope is around a 10-minute drive away and is home to shops, restaurants and a post office. It is also where the Pentland Ferries catamaran, Alfred, arrives from Gills Bay three times a day, making the cottage conveniently placed for visitors travelling to Orkney by ferry.

A drive of around 20 minutes takes visitors across the historic Churchill Barriers and past the famous Italian Chapel towards Kirkwall. From Kirkwall, ferry services provide opportunities to travel further and discover Orkney's outer islands.

Orkney is renowned for its remarkable landscapes, ancient monuments and historic attractions. Highlights to discover during a stay include the Ring of Brodgar, the Old Man of Hoy, St Magnus Cathedral, Maes Howe, the Standing Stones of Stenness and the prehistoric settlement of Skara Brae.
