**Hen Dy:**
Hen Dy boasts a lounge with oak beams and a large inglenook, complete with an open bread oven. The spacious open-plan dining/kitchen area features oak furnishings. On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with a WC and shower. Upstairs, you'll find a double room, a room with a double and a single bed, and a bathroom with a bath and WC.

**Y Bwtri:**
This cottage includes a ground floor double bedroom and a ground floor bathroom with a WC and shower. Upstairs, an open-plan lounge/dining area and a kitchen with views of Cymer Abbey await your enjoyment.

Gwanas Fawr Holiday Cottages, Dolgellau, Gwynedd (Sleeps 1-5)


Gwanas Fawr offers two self-catering cottages in the foothills of Cadair Idris, set in stunning Welsh countryside in Snowdonia. Situated down a farm track, these two cottages are surrounded by farmland and have fabulous views.

Ty Trol is a cosy cottage that sleeps up to 4 people in two bedrooms - a double and a twin. The cottage has traditional features with an open plan living space downstairs including a wood-burning stove. There are exposed beams throughout and the well-equipped kitchen has everything you may need.

Ty Neuadd sleeps 5 people and a baby/toddler. The cottage has been built inside the walls of an original medieval hall. There are 3 bedrooms - a double, twin and single bedroom. There are traditional features including exposed beams throughout. 

Outside of each cottage, there is a large outdoor space with BBQ and outdoor furniture and a paddock that has a stream running through it. There is a secure barn for bike storage and we have table tennis available in the medieval barn.

Lots of wonderful attractions are in the local area. The Mawddach Estuary is a striking sight, flanked by woodlands, wetlands and the mountains of southern Snowdonia. If you fancy trying some exciting outdoor activities, Coed y Brenin Forest Park has everything from challenging orienteering routes and geocaching to world-class mountain biking trails.

Tal y Waen Cottages are a pair of lovely Welsh holiday homes located a short drive from Dolgellau in the Snowdonia National Park. Our holiday cottages have been tastefully decorated and furnished to provide guests with a relaxing place to stay while visiting Gwynedd.

1 well behaved dog is welcome in each cottage as there are sheep on the premises and all fuel, power, bed linen and towels included in rent.

The Barn is interestingly set on five levels. What was once the cowshed, haylofts, granary and stable is now a self-catering barn. It is located in the small village of Ganllwyd, Gwynedd. The market town of Dolgellau is a short drive away. This picturesque setting is within the Snowdonia National Park and ideal for a quiet getaway.

The Barn was converted in 2004. It has many interesting design features and original features have been kept where possible.

The spacious lounge has exposed beams, oak flooring, TV, DVD player, CD player and views to Snowdonia. The smart fitted kitchen/diner with high ceiling is centrally situated and equipped with a washing machine, fridge and freezer. This room leads out onto a patio area with seating.

Picturesque Ganllwyd is packed with footpaths and famous mountain bike trails. Gwynfynydd Gold Mine and Mawddach Estuary are within close walking distance.

The beautiful beaches at Barmouth, Fairbourne, Harlech, Llandudno, Old Colwyn, Abersoch and Aberaeron are within easy reach.

Dolgellau market town is close to The Barn and has shops, places to eat and many beauty spots. Walking, cycling, golfing and horse riding are popular in the area. It offers many attractions that are suitable for the whole family.
