Swn y Nant is the larger of the two cottages and is ideal for families or small groups. Exposed beams, a striking stone fireplace and a cosy wood-burning stove with complimentary logs create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The spacious open-plan living area features comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen for everything needed during a self-catering holiday. Sleeping accommodation includes a ground-floor en-suite family bedroom with one double and two single beds, a luxurious bathroom with a whirlpool bath and power shower, plus an upstairs en-suite twin bedroom.

Bodnant – Sleeps 5

Bodnant is a beautifully restored stone barn offering a wonderful blend of rustic charm and contemporary comfort. The bright, open-plan living area features original timber beams, a traditional wood-burning stove with complimentary logs and a well-equipped kitchen. The cottage offers a ground-floor en-suite family bedroom with one double and one single bed, an upstairs twin bedroom with its own en-suite shower room and a luxurious ground-floor bathroom complete with a whirlpool bath and power shower.

Both cottages benefit from eco-friendly biomass central heating, electricity generated through hydropower and Tesla and universal electric vehicle charging points, allowing guests to enjoy a comfortable and environmentally conscious stay.

Cynfal Farm Cottages enjoy a superb location for exploring the very best of North Wales. The farm even has its own private halt on the historic Tal-y-llyn narrow-gauge steam railway, offering guests a unique journey to the charming seaside town of Tywyn. Fferm Sychnant is a 17th-century farmhouse located on a small working farm at the end of a quiet lane, providing a peaceful and safe setting for families with children. The rural location offers a relaxing escape for visitors looking to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. The farm is situated in Bryncroes, a small hamlet on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales. It is just a short drive from several beautiful sandy beaches, including Abersoch, Aberdaron and Whistling Sands, making it an ideal base for walking, cycling, fishing and other outdoor activities.

About Sychnant

The farmhouse provides comfortable accommodation for up to six guests. It has three bedrooms, including two double rooms and one room with full-size bunk beds. A cot is also available if required. The property has an upstairs bathroom.

Hendy Farm Cottages, Tywyn, Gwynedd, Snowdonia National Park


Hendy Farm Cottages is a collection of holiday homes situated in Tywyn, in the beautiful county of Gwynedd. Located on the edge of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park, the cottages enjoy spectacular scenery and stunning sunsets, offering an ideal base for exploring both mountains and coastline.

Hendy Cottage

Hendy Cottage is the original farmhouse and has been tastefully converted to retain traditional features while meeting modern requirements. The sitting room features the original inglenook fireplace and a door leading onto the patio, where guests can enjoy views of the Talyllyn Railway.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine. The cottage offers two bedrooms, both with TVs, and there is a TV/DVD in the sitting room. A cloakroom is located downstairs, with a bathroom on the upper floor. The cottage is centrally heated throughout. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

Edward Thomas Cottage

Edward Thomas Cottage features a living/dining room and a separate fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and a four-ring electric cooker with grill and oven.

Y Popty

Ty Mawr – Sleeps 8

Ty Mawr is the original farmhouse at Eisteddfa Farm and offers spacious, comfortable accommodation for families and groups of up to eight guests. Set in a tranquil rural location, the house is accessed via a private driveway approximately half a mile from the main road. Entry is through a slate-floored hallway leading to a bright, well-equipped kitchen diner with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and freezer. Additional fridge and freezer space, along with a washing machine and dryer, are located in the utility room.

The property features a comfortable sitting room with a piano, as well as a separate games room equipped with a slate-bed pool table and dartboard. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms, two twin bedrooms, and a family bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Bed linen and towels are provided, and the house benefits from central heating throughout. WiFi is available, although signal strength may vary in some rooms due to the thick walls.

Outside, the enclosed garden offers outdoor seating and a barbecue, along with beautiful countryside views. Parking is available for two to three cars at the front of the house. Up to three dogs are welcome, with guests kindly asked to clean up after their pets, keep them off furniture and upstairs, and not leave them unattended in the property unless securely crated.

Bwthyn Bach – Sleeps 2

Bwthyn Bach is a self-catering cottage near Criccieth, located next to Ty Mawr and offering comfortable ground-floor accommodation ideal for couples. The cottage features a romantic hot tub set within the garden, providing a peaceful space to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside views.

The sitting room enjoys views towards Moel y Gest and the southern Snowdonia Rhinog mountain range and includes a cosy log burner and Freeview TV, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen diner includes a small fridge freezer, oven and hob, microwave, and dishwasher. The double bedroom is located at the rear of the cottage and benefits from an en-suite shower room. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Heating is supplied by electric heaters and the log burner, with logs included in the cost of the stay. WiFi is available throughout the cottage, although it may be slower at times due to the thick walls. Outside, there is a small patio area at the front and a side garden featuring a decked area, hot tub, outdoor furniture, and barbecue, along with parking for one car.

Visiting the Area

Located just under two miles from Criccieth, Eisteddfa provides an excellent base for exploring the many attractions of Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula. The area is ideal for walking, whether tackling some of Wales’s most rugged mountain routes or enjoying the gentler coastal paths of the Llŷn Peninsula. A wide range of activities and attractions can be found within a half-hour drive of the cottages.

One of the region’s highlights is the famous Italianate village of Portmeirion, just 15 minutes away, where visitors can explore beautiful gardens, browse unique shops, or enjoy a meal overlooking the water. Popular Welsh adventure experiences, including Zip World, Bounce Below, and Surf Snowdonia, are also within easy reach and can be combined with visits to nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog and Betws-y-Coed.
