Cressland offers self catering accommodation located right next to the famous 'Splash' in the village of Kersey near the town of Ipswich in Suffolk. We offer accommodation is a Grade II fifteenth Century cottage.

Cressland by the Splash is the perfect place to retreat to and explore Constable Country, Suffolk’s idyllic open countryside, beautiful unspoilt villages and the Suffolk Coast.

The cottage offers a total of four bedrooms and sleeps up to eight people.

Just two miles away from the cottage is the charming market town of Hadleigh which has a fourteenth Century church as well as a range of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Twenty miles away is Bury St Edmunds that is rich in fascinating history and is home to an award-winning market that cannot be missed. Many attractions in the area include Colchester Zoo, Framlingham Castle, Hedingham Castle and Pleasurewood Hills Leisure Park.

The Old Drift House is a beautifully maintained 5 star holiday retreat that can sleep up to 8 people and is ideal for exploring the Suffolk countryside and coast while offering a peaceful escape for all the family. The holiday home is only 2 hours from London at Kersey near Ipswich.

Old as the cottage might be, the holiday home has all the modern amenities you may need during your stay. There are 4 large bedrooms (2 double, 2 twins connected if required) with linen and towels provided, three bathrooms, sitting room with baby grand piano, dining room, fully fitted kitchen/breakfast room, laundry room, central heating, dishwasher, freezer, washing machine and dryer. A telephone and cot are available by arrangement. 

Indoor entertainment includes stereo, TV, free play and DVD. A garage provides car space or secure storage for bicycles.

Outside of the holiday cottage is ample garden furniture, a barbeque and two terraces for informal summer dining. 

The holiday cottage is set in the picturesque medieval village of Kersey in the heart of the Suffolk countryside not far from the beautiful and unspoilt Suffolk coast. Kersey is one of England's chocolate box villages with a stunning hilltop church, beautiful thatched cottages and an ancient ford running through the centre of the village complete with resident ducks.

Wheelwrights is a cottage recently converted from an 18th century wheelwrights barn and consists of one bedroom with 6ft bed, bathroom with bath and shower, fully equipped kitchen and large lounge with woodburning stove situated in the grounds of a 16th century thatched cottage. ‘The Forge’, Kersey Uplands.

This small hamlet is one mile from the picturesque village of Kersey in the wilds of Suffolk, halfway between Sudbury and Ipswich, ideal for walking or cycling.

The villages of Hadleigh, Lavenham, Long Melford and Dedham, are a short drive away and Felixstowe beach is only 40 mins.

Our local hostelry, The Bell is a 20 minute walk for good food and drink and pleasant company.
