Situated just one mile from Blackwaterfoot on the Isle of Arran, the cottage sleeps up to 5 people and offers plenty of garden space and convenient off-road parking.
Accommodation
The cottage has been comfortably furnished throughout and provides an excellent base for families, couples and friends looking to explore the Isle of Arran.
The welcoming sitting room features an open fire, perfect for relaxing in front of after a day discovering the island. Entertainment facilities include a TV and DVD player.
There is also a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast room with everything needed for a comfortable self catering stay, including a fridge/freezer, oven and hob with extractor fan, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
Upstairs, there is a twin bedroom which can also be arranged as a super-king, complete with en suite facilities. A family bedroom with its own en suite facilities is also located upstairs.
A separate downstairs arrangement offers a super-king bedroom with a shower and WC. This room also features two sofas, creating an additional relaxing space away from the main sitting room. The downstairs bedroom is available by separate arrangement for an additional charge.
Outside, guests are welcome to explore the extensive gardens surrounding the property. A burn runs through the grounds, while attractive paths lead past colourful rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias.
The cottage also benefits from its own private grassed area with a garden table and chairs, providing a lovely setting for relaxing outdoors and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Visiting Achavoulin & Exploring the Isle of Arran
The spectacular west coast of Arran is known for its beautiful bays and dramatic coastline, with magnificent views stretching across to the Mull of Kintyre.
Often described as "Scotland in Miniature", the Isle of Arran offers a remarkable variety of landscapes, ranging from rugged mountain peaks to gentle rolling hills. It is a wonderful destination for walking, sightseeing and outdoor adventures.
Golf enthusiasts are also well catered for, with seven courses within easy reach. These include the impressive twelve-hole course at Blackwaterfoot, which has been recognised among Scotland's notable golf courses.
The family also owns a salmon and sea trout spate river, which may be available to guests by separate arrangement.
There are plenty of attractions to discover during a stay on the Isle of Arran, including Brodick Castle, Garden and Country Park, Lochranza Distillery, Goatfell, Holy Isle and the fascinating Machrie Moor Standing Stones.
