Bridge End Farm Cottages are a collection of luxurious and beautifully appointed self catering holiday cottages and an Elizabethan farmhouse on a working farm in Boot, Cumbria. Our award-winning properties are ideal for couples, families and groups of friends who are looking to explore the Lake District National Park.

Bridge End Farmhouse

Our farmhouse is steeped in history and boasts original flagstone floors, oak panelling and a private garden. Bedrooms consist of 2 king rooms and 2 twin rooms. The bathrooms include 1 family bathroom, 1 en suite bathroom and 1 shower room. Unwind in the living room that comes with a comfy leather sofa and a toasty log burner. Outside there is a secluded garden to relax in.

Scafell Cottage

We offer wonderful accommodation in Scafell Cottage. Lovely features included full beams and Eskdale pink granite. The cottage sleeps 8/9 people in 1 downstairs king en suite room, 1 triple bedroom, a galleried fully curtained twin bedroom and 1 king en suite room with a slipper bath. A further family shower room is on the ground floor.

Wastwater Cottage

Our cottage has a fantastic entertaining space including a large plan kitchen/diner and lounge, plus a baby grand piano. The cottage comes with lots of character and sleeps 7/8 people in 2 downstairs king rooms, including 1 with en suite facilities. Upstairs there is 1 twin and 1 single room with a full-size pull-out bed underneath, including en suite facilities. Downstairs there is a further family shower room.

Hardknott Cottage

We offer lovely accommodation in Hardknott Cottage, great for a romantic getaway. The cottage comes with a king-size gallery bedroom that enjoys views of the fells. Downstairs there is a fully equipped, Italian leather sofa and a bathroom. A back door leads to the paddock gardens, great for a coffee in the morning sun.

Stanley Ghyll Cottage

Our delightful cottage offers upside-down accommodation and has an adjacent walled garden to relax in. Downstairs there is a king room and a marble shower room. Upstairs there is a living room and a fully-equipped kitchen.

Whillan Beck Cottage

We provided cosy accommodation in Whillan Beck Cottage. The cottage comes with a fully-equipped kitchen and an Italian leather sofa to relax on. Upstairs there is a king room and a bathroom with a shower and clawfoot bath. Outside there is a paddock garden.

Wrynose

Our charming cottage is perfect for a memorable romantic getaway. Upstairs there is a king room with a skylight to gaze at the stars. The bathroom comes with a slipper bath and full-size shower. Downstairs there is an Italian leather couch and a fully-equipped kitchen.

Visiting Boot & Exploring Cumbria

The cottages are set beside a beautiful 17th Century packhorse bridge and the tumbling Whillan Beck in the pretty village of Boot, in the delightful Eskdale valley, Lake District. We are secluded but not isolated and form an integral part of the village with its 2 welcoming Inns just 50 yards and 150 yards away. There is stunning Lake District scenery all around and many of England's best walks on our doorstep. Great attractions to visit include:

Wallace Lane Farm in Brocklebank offers superb self catering accommodation, nestled in a scenic countryside setting. We are located near Wigton perfect for a magical Cumbrian holiday in the country.

Accommodation

We have 3 beautifully furnished cottages to choose from, Farmhouse Cottage, Woodpecker Cottage and Nuthatch Cottage. We also have a range of cabins and lodges to choose from. All our properties well-equipped and come with everything you need for an unforgettable holiday.

Farmhouse Cottage

This charming 1-bedroom cottage is great for a romantic getaway and parts of the property date from the 1700s, with much of the original character still maintained. Inside there is a lovely open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. The living area includes a TV and a wood burner for the chillier months. Enjoy some home-cooking in the well-equipped kitchen which has a dishwasher, fridge, and cooker, all kitchen equipment and utensils.

On the first floor is a large open plan bedroom with a king-size bed and flat-screen TV. A separate large shower room is also available. Outside there is an enclosed private garden with a stream. Unwind in the luxury hot tub and savour the amazing views.

Woodpecker Cottage

Our wonderful 2-bedroom cottage is surrounded by open countryside, great for nature lovers. The downstairs lounge has two double sofas, TV/DVD, CD radio, electric fire and a picture window which takes advantage of the view. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen/dining area which has an electric oven and hobs, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave oven.

Two attractive bedrooms are available, a first-floor double with a TV and a ground bedroom with a single bed plus a raised cabin bed, plus a further TV. Both rooms share a bathroom. Outside there is a lovely cottage garden with seating and a gorgeous hot tub to soak muscles in.

Nuthatch Cottage

This superb cottage is perfect for two couples looking for a country escape. A fabulous wooden bridge leads to the glorious fields and woods. Inside a comfy lounge comes with an LCD TV, DVD, CD/radio, wood burning stove and patio doors leading to the private patio area. A well-equipped kitchen/dining area has an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and patio doors.

Two fantastic en suite bedrooms are available, a double and twin. Outside there is a private garden, patio and hot tub.

Starling Cabin

Wooden cabin offering luxury self catering accommodation for up to 4 with the option of an extra 2 camping alongside, offering a double bed and bunkbeds. There is a kitchen/dining area, TV with Freeview and outdoor hot tub.

Treehouse Cabin

Based in our old farm orchard, the cabin comes with a double bedroom and a bunkroom. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, 32’’ flat screen TV, a decking area with seating and hot tub to use.

Kestrel Cabin

Our cosy cabin sleeps 4 people in a double bed and set of full-size bunk beds. There’s a wood burner, TV with Freeview, Kitchen area, wooden decking area hot tub and seating.

Robins Lodge

This wooden lodge sleeps 4 people in a double bed and bunk beds. There’s a TV with Freeview, kitchen area, wood burning stove, wooden decking area, private hot tub and a table and chairs.

Skylark Lodge

Skylark is one of our newest lodges, sleeps up to 4 people in a king en suite and twin room. There’s a flatscreen TV in the lounge and each bedroom, a kitchen area and sliding patio doors to a decking/patio area, including seating and a hot tub.

Osprey Lodge

Our luxury lodge boasts amazing views and comes with a large bedroom with king size bed, large open plan living area with lounge/dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped and facilities include a 50’’ flat-screen TV in lounge and 40’’TV in the bedroom. Outside there is a patio with an outdoor dining table and hot tub.

Curlew Lodge

We offer lovely accommodation for up to 4 people in one of our newest lodges. There’s an open plan kitchen and lounge, plus a private decking area and hot tub. The master bedroom has a private WC and the second bedroom has twin beds.

Barn Owl Bothy

Our peaceful self-contained apartment is great for a memorable getaway. Inside there is a double bed plus a raised double bunk style bed, sleeping one or two adults in the double bed and one adult or two children in the raised bunk. There’s an en suite bathroom, basic kitchen, TV, comfy seating and an outdoor raised balcony with a chair and a table.

Oak Tree Lodge

Our traditional holiday home boasts stunning views over the Solway coast. The lodge sleeps 4 people in a master en suite and twin room. There’s an open lounge/dining/kitchen area. Outside there’s decking with a patio table and chairs, plus a hot tub.

Visiting Brocklebank & Exploring Cumbria

We are only a 5-minute drive from Caldbeck village and just 20 minutes from Skiddaw Fell. Lots of gorgeous fells are nearby, including the Cat Bells, great for keen walkers. Derwent and Bassenthwaite are also a small drive away and offer boat hire. Nearby Allonby has a spectacular shoreline and is a great day out for all the family. Further attractions to visit include:

High Wallabarrow Cottage, Ulpha, Broughton-in-Furness, Cumbria (Sleeps 1-5)

Set in the Duddon Valley, a hidden jewel of Lakeland, Wallabarrow holiday cottage lies in a remote unspoilt corner of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria.

The self catering holiday cottage is cosy all year round. Well behaved dogs are welcome and must always be under control as they are likely to encounter sheep, cows, horses, chickens, rabbits, working dogs and young children on a daily basis!

The self catering holiday cottage accommodation comprises a newly fitted cottage kitchen with views to the Dunnerdale Fells and 'Caw'; two bedrooms, a family room upstairs with a king-size bed and a single bed (stairgate available) and a single bedroom downstairs with a four-foot bed. In addition, there is a full-size futon in the living room downstairs, where there is a colour TV with Freesat and DVD player. A stable door looks out onto the shared garden and up to the fells. The bathroom is downstairs and has a shower over the bath.

High Wallabarrow is a traditional hill farm owned by the National Trust, situated at the end of a quiet no-through road with only footpaths and bridleways beyond. The cottage nestles below the impressive Wallabarrow Crag (1,000ft) there are wonderful walks straight from the door, ranging from low-level riverside and woodland walks to the higher fells, including Harter Fell and the Coniston range.

The 16th century Newfield Inn, open all day serving good food and real ales, is a delightful 15-minute walk through Wallabarrow Woods and across the River Duddon. Also, the Blacksmiths Arms at Broughton Mills (four miles) serves excellent food.
