A terraced seating area gives you the chance to watch the wildlife in and around the riverbank, perfect for spotting the Kingfishers. It’s a peaceful and quiet place and the sound of running water makes it tranquil and calming.

Inside the holiday home, you will find sumptuous furnishings, fine fabrics, sparkling chandeliers and modern art bring more than a touch of glamour to this bijou residence. The spacious kitchen and adjoining garden room make River Cottage the ideal holiday home for foodies.

There is a master bedroom with a king-size double bed and a second bedroom that can be made up as a twin or a super king-size, depending on your requirements. Luxurious toppers on the mattresses make for an extremely comfortable night especially as they are coupled with goosedown pillows and quilts covered in pure Egyptian cotton. Supersoft white towelling bathrobes are provided for you to use during your stay, the sort you would usually find in a spa hotel.

Set in a fabulous rural location, enjoy the peace and tranquillity that River Cottage offers with an abundance of local wildlife and natural beauty, or use it as the perfect base for exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

The cottage has two bedrooms; a double and one with two singles, a bathroom with rainfall shower, a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge/dining area. The cottage has central heating throughout.

Why not visit the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Welshpool, which are all within a 25-minute drive of the cottage? All three boast a rich history and play host to a great selection of independent boutiques, gift shops and galleries. 

If you feel like stretching your legs you could hike on Glyndwr's Way or walk up to Rodney’s Pillar. Or if you’re feeling more energetic you could visit one of the nearby mountain biking trails at Long Mynd, Stiperstones, Haughmond Hill or One Planet Adventure at Coed Llandegla.

River Cottage nestles within the grounds of the Glenburn Hotel, next to a bubbling stream. It is a five-minute walk from the centre of Windermere village, with its selection of restaurants and shops. This holiday cottage is a great base for those looking to visit Cumbria & exploring the Lake District National Park.

The cottage is a deluxe three-bedroom property which sleeps up to six including two children. On the ground floor is a hallway leading to the large family bathroom, a cloakroom and a large double bedroom overlooking the woods and stream with a dressing room attached. There is also a further children's bedroom with single bunk beds. The stairs then lead to the first floor where there is another double bedroom and a large lounge area with a flat-screen TV. There is a fitted kitchen and dining area with patio doors leading to a balcony, which overlooks the stream and woods.

This cottage is perfect for families or groups of friends in need of a place to stay for overnight birthday celebrations, Windermere weekends away, or as a base camp for a full week’s romp around the hills and lakes nearby.
