Stokes Barn Group Accommodation is a fantastic base for friends and family who are looking to explore this beautiful part of Shropshire. Within the grounds are two self catering properties. Both of which are set within a courtyard of a 19th century converted farm. They can also be used as one large property for your group or can be hired as two separate facilities to suit your numbers and your needs.

The Granary shares the same courtyard and garden to The Threshing Barn where you can enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.

Threshing Barn:
This property is a converted 19th Century threshing barn, it can accommodate 28 people in 3 rooms (6,10,12) all bunk beds. Amenities and features include:

Large dining room and living room.
Flat screen TV 7 DVD player.
fully equipped, industrial size kitchen.
Male & female toilet and shower facilities.
Disabled toilet.

Because of the location it also makes an ideal spot for wedding receptions as there is ample space for marquees, parking & even space for guests to camp.

The properties appeal to a wide range of people, many of whom choose to come back year after year as it fulfills their needs at the same time as offering something a bit different.

The Granary:
The Granary sleeps 16 people in 3 upstairs rooms of (2, 4, 10) all bunk beds & singles. Amenities and features include:

The Edge Adventure Centre offers a myriad of outdoor pursuits including Segways, shooting and quad biking. Much Wenlock Priory is a splendid monastic ruin that is ideal for those interested in the history of the area. Also nearby is Shipton Hall, a 16th century property which was wonderfully rebuilt in Georgian times.

The Old Kennels Farm Holiday Cottages, Ledbury, Malvern Hills, Herefordshire Sleeps 1-6


The Old Kennels Farm offers self-catering accommodation in six cottages in Ledbury. The cottages are on a 24-acre farm on The Malvern Hills. The Herefordshire cottages can be booked together making us the ideal accommodation for a family trip or special occasion.

Sweet Coppin:
This spacious cottage sleeps six and includes a well-equipped kitchen, lounge, dining room, patio and There is also a large porch area with seating. Downstairs there is a large shower room and two bedrooms with two single beds in each. Upstairs is a smaller bathroom with a bath and the third bedroom with a double bed.

Tom Putt:
This cottage has open plan living areas which include a TV & DVD player. There is a patio area and a large porch with seating. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two full-size single beds, bathroom with shower over bath.

Yarlington Mill:
This pet-friendly cottage is one of our original cottages converted from the old kennel buildings. The living areas are open plan and there is a walled courtyard area with seating and a large porch. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the first has a double bed and the second has a single. There is one bathroom situated upstairs with a shower.

Dabinett:
Although this cottage only sleeps 2 people it is quite spacious. The cottage has been tastefully renovated from our original farm buildings. There is an open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The cottage also has a porch area with seating and a pretty walled courtyard with a picnic bench. A lovely twin room includes a modern en suite bathroom.

Brown Snout:
This end cottage has been beautifully renovated from the original building to provide quality accommodation. Sleeps 2 in a double room with en suite shower room. There is an open plan kitchen, living and dining area. Outside there is a front porch area and walled courtyard.

The cottages are located right in front of hills and woods which provide a great base for walks. There is also a lake on the farm which is a great place to relax and watch the local wildlife. We even have a hot tub room on site which guests can use. The Malvern Hills are also only 6 miles away. The town of Ledbury is only a short walk from the self-catering cottages and it has many shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. If you want to venture further then you can catch a train to Hereford, Wales, Worcester, Birmingham, Oxford and London.

The Laurels, Bishops Castle, Shropshire (Sleeps 1-15)


The Laurels offers outstanding self-catering accommodation in Bishops Castle. Our magnificent Grade II Listed building is nestled in an idyllic location and is perfect for a magical getaway.

Our fabulous house is brimming with character and comes with everything you need for a relaxing and memorable holiday. The house is tastefully furnished and sleeps 15 people in 6 bedrooms.

On the first floor are two beautiful bedrooms. The twin room has an adjoining bathroom and the family room has a king-size bed and single bed and Sky TV. The second floor has two family rooms with king-size beds, including one with a single bed. A master en suite includes a king bed. On the third floor is a further family room with a king-size bed and single bed. A bathroom comes with a shower and WC.

The delightful market town of Bishop’s Castle is surrounded by stunning countryside, perfect for walkers and cyclists. Wonderful walking routes include the Shropshire Hills, Kerry Ridgeway, Offa’s Dyke and the ‘BC Ring’. In town, there is a lovely mixture of arts, crafts and independent shops, plus a farmers’ market. Two great pubs can be enjoyed, The Six Bells micro-brewery and the Three Tuns, the oldest working brewery in Britain. History fans will love seeing the remains of the old castle at the top of town which was originally built by the Bishop of Hereford.
