Ladywell House is a large and elegant country house set amidst hundreds of acres of farmland, offering self-catering accommodation in Falkland, Fife.

The Steading

Located just 30 feet from the main house, The Steading can be hired for larger groups or private parties. The property also features a spacious kitchen/diner and a large sitting room with French doors opening onto a patio.

Lucasland consists of three barn conversions situated in the village of Hunmanby near Filey in North Yorkshire.

Accommodation

All three cottages are let together and can also be booked in conjunction with Denmark House, a detached property located just a short distance away, providing accommodation for up to 26 guests. With or without the addition of Denmark House, Lucasland is ideally suited to family gatherings, celebrations and group holidays.

Accessed via a private gated entrance, the cottages surround a communal courtyard in a residential area. Each cottage sleeps six guests and includes:

  • One en-suite double bedroom.

  • One twin bedroom.

  • One double bedroom.

  • A family bathroom.

  • An open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with Freeview TV and a log-burning stove.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything guests may need during their stay, including a washing machine, tumble dryer and Dolce Gusto coffee machine.

The lounge features a Freeview TV with Netflix, a wood burning stove and Wi-Fi throughout the cottage. Upstairs there are three bedrooms consisting of two double rooms and one twin room. The cottage also offers a shower room, a family bathroom and an additional separate toilet downstairs.

The Tackhouse
The Tackhouse sleeps up to 4 guests across two bedrooms. This cosy self catering cottage has a contemporary and homely feel. The ground floor features open plan living with a wood burning fire at its centre. The lounge area includes a flat screen TV with Freeview and Netflix.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, which can also be arranged as twin rooms on request before arrival. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite facilities.

Groom's Bell
Groom's Bell is a mirror image of The Tackhouse and also sleeps up to 4 guests in two double bedrooms. The stylish open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has a wood burning stove at its heart. The cottage includes modern facilities such as a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, washing machine with dryer, Freeview TV with Netflix and Wi-Fi throughout.

Castletoun Spa
Guests can also enjoy the Castletoun Spa, which includes a hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower. The spa must be booked in advance and costs £30 per day per cottage. When all three cottages are booked together as a group booking, use of the spa is included.

Local Area
There are many attractions and activities available in the surrounding area including golf, horse riding, shooting, hiking, cycling and fishing.

Greenlaw itself offers a church, two pubs, a post office, butchers, chemist, mini market, bank and a children’s playground, all located just a couple of minutes from the cottages. Larger destinations such as Edinburgh, Alnwick and Holy Island can all be reached in around an hour.

Rates start from £640 to £870 per week depending on the season. When all properties are combined, the cottages can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests. Children are welcome. Pets are welcome in Stable Yard Cottage and Groom’s Bell only, charged at £5 per stay. The cottages offer Wi-Fi internet access and off street parking.
