Centrally located, our holiday home is the ideal solution for exploring Lancashire, Cumbria, The Forest of Bowland, Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The main living area in the holiday cottage is open plan and spacious offering a TV, DVD player, wood-burning stove and comfortable seating. The lounge also has a double sofa bed for any extra guests.

There is a modern kitchen that offers everything you will need including a hob, electric oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and a fridge.

The bedroom in the self-catering cottage has a king-size sleigh bed and is located adjacent to the shower room where there is a shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.

There is a private garden that has lawns, a decking area and garden furniture. This is a lovely place to relax with a drink.

In Arkholme you will find a pub that serves delicious food and a range of drinks, a children's playground and two churches. The nearby towns of Carnforth and Kirkby Lonsdale both have supermarkets and petrol stations. Guests can visit Lake Windermere and Coniston Water during their stay as well as many national Trust properties including Cartmel Priory, Beatrix Potter’s House and Sizergh Castle.

The holiday home is set amidst splendid, unspoilt countryside in the beautiful Ribble Valley & within the Forest of Bowland. It is a great base for those who want to explore Lancashire, as Bolton-by-Bowland is just a short drive from many attractions and places of interest. Local amenities can be found in nearby Clitheroe

This family-friendly cottage can sleep up to 8 people plus 2 travel cots, making it a great place for get-togethers with friends and families. The accommodation comprises of ground floor bedroom with wet room (can be set up as a twin room or super-king size), comfortable lounge with open fire, 40” HD TV with Freeview, free Wi-Fi internet access, well-equipped kitchen with dining table, first-floor king-size bedroom with en suite, first-floor double room with either a twin or super-king size set up & a twin room.

All bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside is utility area with a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Guests can relax in the garden and enjoy the birdsong and peace of the countryside, along with the splendid views towards Pendle Hill and down the Ribble Valley. It's about three-quarters of a mile to the village post office and shop in Bolton by Bowland, and there are some good local pubs serving a variety of food. The village is a great base for those wanting to visit the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, West Coast and many bustling market towns.

The cottage is 8 miles from Clitheroe and 9 miles from Skipton with its famous castle. This is excellent walking country as we are within the Forest of Bowland, and Dunsop Bridge, "the centre of the kingdom" just a few miles away. The Settle/Carlisle railway is close by and there are a myriad of pretty villages to discover.
