New Breckan, Harray, Orkney


New Breckan offers cosy self catering accommodation for 2 people at a very reasonable weekly rate. Ideally located in Orkney, the cottage is perfectly situated for visiting the many famous archaeological sites nearby, with free trout fishing available less than a mile away.

The holiday cottage is ideal for a romantic break and features a comfortable living room furnished to a high standard, including a flat screen TV.

The bedroom includes one double bed and can also accommodate a travel cot for young children, although guests are asked to provide their own cot.

The wet room includes a toilet, hand basin and support hand grips, making it suitable for guests with limited mobility.

The newly refurbished kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a self catering stay, including a microwave oven, fridge, freezer and washing machine.

Time switched convector panel heaters are provided in both the bedroom and living room.

Electricity, bed linen, duvet, bath towels, hand towels and tea towels are all included within the price.

New Breckan is ideally located for exploring Orkney’s world famous archaeological attractions including Skara Brae, the Ring of Brodgar, Ness of Brodgar and Maeshowe, all just a few miles away. There are also free fishing lochs and RSPB bird reserves nearby for those wishing to enjoy the rich wildlife the islands have to offer.

Kirkwall and Stromness are both just a 15-minute drive away, while the village of Dounby is located 3 miles north of the cottage and offers a restaurant, Co-op store, butcher, pharmacy, craft shops and hairdresser. Merkister Hotel, with excellent restaurant facilities, is also just 2 miles away.

Rates are £420 per week.

Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday between May and September, with a minimum 4-night stay available during other times of the year.
