Built around 200 years ago, East Trewent Farm is a traditional stone farmhouse with outbuildings set in just over an acre of land. The cottages have been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, combining period character with modern comfort. Guests also benefit from ample parking in the gravelled farmyard.
The Cottages
The Cart House – This former cart house welcomes guests through a glazed arched entrance with a tiled floor, exposed beams, and stable bars. The ground floor includes a bathroom and shower room, along with a living/dining room featuring a stone wall leading to a well-equipped kitchen. It accommodates up to 4 people in one double and one twin bedroom.
The Granary – Once a working granary, this cosy cottage boasts a galleried seating area overlooking the living room with a striking full-height stone wall. The first floor has two spacious bedrooms, one double and one twin (with space for a cot), while the ground floor includes a second double bedroom and a good-sized bathroom with shower over bath. The living/dining area features a wood burner and French doors leading to a grassy outdoor space.
The Milking Parlour – With its lofty lounge and dining area complete with exposed beams, this former milking parlour offers plenty of rustic charm. The main double bedroom includes a quirky ‘Crog loft,’ accessed by a fixed ladder, making it a fun sleeping area for up to two children.
Each cottage provides a warm and comfortable base for exploring the surrounding area.
Exploring Freshwater East & Pembrokeshire
Freshwater East village lies beside a beautiful sheltered bay, perfect for beach days and coastal walks. Nearby attractions include Barafundle Bay and the Stackpole Lily Ponds, both offering stunning scenery.
Guests will find pubs and restaurants within a short drive, while the village of Lamphey, just over 2 miles away, offers a bakery, post office, and petrol station. The historic town of Pembroke is also close by, with its impressive castle, shops, and eateries.
