We're 8 miles from Clitheroe and 9 miles from Skipton with its famous castle. This is an excellent walking country as we are within the Forest of Bowland, and Dunsop Bridge, "the centre of the kingdom" just a few miles away. The Settle/Carlisle railway is close by and there is a myriad of pretty villages to discover.
