Honey Lodge Tree Lodge & Treehouse Snug offers the ultimate self catering getaway for either a single couple or up to three couples situated in the village of Blean, near Canterbury in Kent.

Accommodation

The lodge itself has a stunning open plan living area with wood burning stove and 100" cinema TV screen. There is a dining table with seating for 6 and a spacious fully equipped, bespoke kitchen with all mod cons including gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave and dishwasher.

The fabulous master bedroom has a king size bed and copper bath, granite wash basin and large dressing table. The second bedroom has a king size bed and the views from this bedroom overlook the wildlife park. There is also a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge.

Outside there is a decked area with covered hot tub and sauna plus a new Treehouse Snug.

Set within the grounds of Honey Lodge Retreat this is perched high in the trees and has its own wood burner, star gazing roof and private decked area with a wine cooler to keep your wine chilled whilst relaxing under the starry skies. This is only available when booking with Honey Lodge Retreat.

Our four luxurious, handcrafted Scandinavian lodges are generously spaced around the edges of two of our three fishing lakes. Kingfisher Lodge - Sleeps 4 and is set in a secluded spot near the middle lake.

Wagtail Lodge - Sleeps 4 and is in an elevated position overlooking the main fishing lake. Wagtail Lodge offers outstanding views of the open countryside where you can take full advantage of the evening sunset.

Woodpecker Lodge - has far-reaching views over the open countryside and offers you the perfect relaxing location to enjoy the local wildlife.

During their stay guests can watch birds while relaxing in their lodge; early morning is typically the best time of day for birding since many birds are searching for food which makes them easier to find and watch. Our three lakes are all stocked with fish including carp (up to 28lbs in weight), bream, tench, roach, rudd and perch. Fishing can be enjoyed for free, all year round, and there are many different areas around the lakes from which to fish.

The lodges are on the edge of Badwell Ash village, with its local shop, off licence and pub all within a 10-minute walk. The next village, Walsham Le Willows, has award-winning butchers. There are several good restaurants and pubs and many pretty and historic villages and towns to explore in the surrounding area either by foot, bicycle or car.

If you like beautiful beaches they are less than half an hour away, the Queen’s Sandringham Estate is a 10-minute drive and the stately homes of Houghton Hall and Holkham Hall are only a short distance away.

Tudor Cottage, Barton, Alcester, Warwickshire (Sleeps 1-4)

Tudor Cottage is an early 17th century black and white cottage situated in the picturesque riverside hamlet of Barton. Approximately fifteen minutes drive to Stratford-upon Avon or Evesham, Broadway and the Cotswolds. The riverside garden offers private fishing in the River Avon. For those not wishing to self cater all of the time, the village pub, 'The Cottage of Content' offers gourmet meals or substantial bar meals at very reasonable prices.

The cottage boasts a spacious beamed lounge, well-equipped kitchen/dining room & a shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two adjoining bedrooms, one with a double bed, and the other with three single beds.

A garden at the rear of the house leads down to the bank of the River Avon. Coarse fishing is available in season. A second, private garden, is at the front of the cottage. This has a table and chairs for outdoor meals and barbeques. 

Tudor Cottage is ideally situated in the heart of Shakespeare country. The village is on the Heart of England way, with several riverside walks. The Cotswolds, Stratford, Warwick Castle, are all within easy reach. There are several National Trust properties, including Ragley Hall and Coughton Court nearby. The NEC and Birmingham are also within easy reach.
