Pond Cottage provides self-catering accommodation overlooking a small lake. Set in 25 acres of land this is a tranquil hideaway only 1.7 miles from the Dorset town of Shaftesbury. There is plenty of wildlife to watch whilst staying at the cottage and fishing is available in the lake.

This holiday cottage can accommodate 4 people in a twin/double and a king-size bedroom. Both bedrooms are en suite. The cosy living/dining room has wonderful lake and countryside views. Although the kitchen is small it is fully fitted. Outside is a lawned area with seating.

Compton Abbas is a quaint village on the edge of the Blackmore Vale. The small market town of Shaftesbury is close by and is home to the Gold Hill (made famous by the Hovis advert). It also offers a range of shops, places to eat and an outdoor swimming pool.

There are wonderful areas for walking, bird watching and wildlife watching. From the cottage, you can sometimes spot a deer or even an otter.

Belview Cottage is a detached modern holiday cottage located in the heart of the Blackmore Vale in Dorset, rated 4 Star Gold Award by Visit England. One double and one twin room. Normal start day for weekly breaks is Friday.

There are many footpaths and bridleways all around the area, with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and along the stunning coastline. The cottage is in a quiet rural location looking towards Bulbarrow Hill and is within easy reach of the historic towns of Sherborne, Shaftesbury and Dorchester and the World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast. Cycling in Dorset is a lovely way to see what this county has to offer - from quiet country lanes weaving through picturesque villages and seaside towns to challenging off-road routes.
