This lakeside, three-storey holiday cottage, styled in a charming 'New England' design, provides a comfortable retreat for up to six guests. The property features three spacious double bedrooms, with twin bed options available on request, and two bathrooms. A luxury hot tub and a balcony overlooking the lake and gardens make this cottage an ideal place to relax and unwind. Please note that pets are not accepted at this property.

On the ground floor, the fully equipped kitchen offers all the essentials, including an oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer-dryer. The open-plan living and dining area is designed for families or groups of friends, featuring a dining table that seats six, two large leather sofas, two single chairs, and a media wall with a 55” TV, Sky Q, and Netflix. A 50” log effect electric fire adds warmth and ambience, making it a cosy space for everyone to gather. The cottage is equipped with full fibre broadband, offering reliable WiFi with speeds of over 100 mbps, ensuring guests stay connected. A convenient W/C with a wash basin is also located on this floor.

The first floor features a comfortable king-size double bedroom with a 32” TV and Sky Q. Another king-size double or twin bedroom (available as 'Zip & Link' on request) also provides a mattress topper for added comfort. A modern shower room with a W/C and basin is situated on this level, making it easy for guests to access.

The second floor offers a twin bedroom (or king-size double upon request) with a 32” TV and Sky Q. The bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with a hand basin and W/C, providing privacy and convenience for those staying on the top floor.

The outside area of the cottage includes French doors that lead to an enclosed decking area. Here, guests can enjoy the luxury hot tub, BBQ, and outdoor dining table with seating for six, all while taking in stunning views of the lake. Large outdoor bean bags are also available, perfect for lounging by the water.

Bedding, bed linen, and towels are provided, and all beds are made up in advance for guests' arrival. Heating and electricity are included, and cots and highchairs are available upon request. We are nestled in an idyllic lakeside setting near Market Harborough, perfect for an unforgettable getaway. Our glamping accommodation is in the ideal location for discovering the spectacular countryside of Leicestershire and an array of attractions in the area.

Our magical two-storey safari tent is a haven for nature lovers looking to escape the pressures of modern life. The glamping area is based in a tranquil and secluded area, reached via a delightful footbridge over a stream. Our lodge sits next to our Sunbird Safari bell tent, with both boasting breathtaking views over the west-facing lakes. This large tent sleeps up to 8 people and offers everything you need for a comfortable getaway. Outside there is a landscaped glamping-only area with a BBQ and fire pit.

Our colonial-style safari tent takes inspiration from Sydney Pollack's Oscar-winning film, 'Out of Africa', offering a truly unique space to holiday in. The tent is raised up by timber stilts, taking advantage of the glorious lake views from the deck. Inside the tent, you will find a toasty wood burner for chilly evenings. A well-equipped kitchen is great for home-cooking and includes a gas hob or wood-burning stove. You can enjoy both the indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas.

The lodge has one bathroom, including a shower over slipper bath and WC. Further washroom facilities are 250 metres away. A fabulous master bedroom comes with a king-size four poster, whilst upstairs there is a further king-size bed and two single beds. Children will love sleeping in the gorgeous cabin bed or delightful tent beds on the mezzanine floor. All the beds come with lavish cotton/linen bedding.

Onsite we have a fantastic 5-acre coarse fishing lake, stocked with carp, tench and perch. Fishing is included in the cost for lodge stays.

This part of the country is great for nature enthusiasts looking to explore the great outdoors. Enjoy a scenic walk 1 mile south of Welford to the majestic former grounds of Hemploe Hall. The Jurassic Way footpath beings at a wonderful reservoir, whilst outstanding canal walks can be enjoyed at Foxton Locks. Visit the ten-acre garden at Coton Manor or see Althorp House.

Pond Cottage, Compton Abbas, Shaftesbury, Dorset (Sleeps 1-4)

Pond Cottage provides self-catering accommodation overlooking a small lake. Set in 25 acres of land this is a tranquil hideaway only 1.7 miles from the Dorset town of Shaftesbury. There is plenty of wildlife to watch whilst staying at the cottage and fishing is available in the lake.

This holiday cottage can accommodate 4 people in a twin/double and a king-size bedroom. Both bedrooms are en suite. The cosy living/dining room has wonderful lake and countryside views. Although the kitchen is small it is fully fitted. Outside is a lawned area with seating.

Compton Abbas is a quaint village on the edge of the Blackmore Vale. The small market town of Shaftesbury is close by and is home to the Gold Hill (made famous by the Hovis advert). It also offers a range of shops, places to eat and an outdoor swimming pool.

There are wonderful areas for walking, bird watching and wildlife watching. From the cottage, you can sometimes spot a deer or even an otter.

Lake Lodge offers self-catering accommodation tucked away in 30 acres of private lakes, gardens and woodland in the village of Maxey in Cambridgeshire. The self-catering lodge is set right on the lakeside and boasts stunning views.

The holiday house offers flexible accommodation for 8-10 adults plus two infants in four double bedrooms. Two have en suite shower rooms on the first floor and two more on the ground floor share a large family bathroom and separate cloakroom which are suitable for those with limited mobility. Two extra fold-up beds and two travel cots can also be provided. It is ideal for family gatherings of all ages or two families as well as groups of friends. 

There is a large patio overlooking the lake with outside garden furniture and a gas barbecue for the summer months. Outside, activities include rowing boats and canoes on the lake which is also suitable for open swimming, a hard tennis court, carp fishing and paths around the grounds linking up to public footpaths.

There is a small 9-hole golf course on the edge of the village and the Green Wheel Cycle Route runs through the next village. Maxey itself has a pub a short walk away and although this does not provide food there are many local villages with interesting inns that do.

Willowbank Lodges, Milkhouse Water, Pewsey, Wiltshire (Sleeps 1-5)

Willowbank Lodges nestle in a small hamlet in the heart of the Pewsey Vale bordering the Kennet and Avon canal. The five luxury log cabins have been solidly built from Russian redwood and are situated in three and a half acres, including a private lake and are surrounded by beautiful countryside and a wide variety of wildlife.

There are three, two-bedroom cabins and two, one-bedroom cabins which are individually and tastefully furnished to a very high standard with large, comfortable beds, feather duvets, pure cotton bed linen, fluffy extra-large towels, spacious bathrooms, large, airy living rooms with squishy sofas and chairs and fully equipped, hand painted kitchens.

The two-bedroom cabins have slightly larger king-size (5'4") beds in the master bedroom and 6ft or twin beds in the second bedroom.

The living areas are spacious with rugs, lamps, pictures, bookcases, side and coffee tables and the larger cabins have kitchen dressers. They all have flat-screen Freesat TV's with DVD players.

The holiday cabins provide a superb holiday base from which to explore the ancient county of Wiltshire and are easily accessed from the M3 and M4. Furthermore, the airports of London Heathrow, Bristol, Southampton and Bournemouth are between one and one and a half hours drive away. The local village of Pewsey is less than two miles away and boasts a good supermarket, butcher, baker, petrol station, garage, Indian restaurant, cafes and pubs and it also has a railway station with a fast train service to London and the West Country.
