Budleigh Farm Cottages, Moretonhampstead, Newton Abbot, Devon


Budleigh Farm offers fabulous self catering accommodation in the beautiful Wray Valley, on the edge of Dartmoor. Located near Moretonhampstead, the cottages have been carefully converted from traditional granite farm buildings and provide a wonderful base for exploring the spectacular Devon countryside.

With seven self catering properties to choose from, guests can enjoy comfortable accommodation alongside a range of onsite facilities, including an outdoor heated swimming pool, target shooting facilities and tuition, and archery facilities.

Accommodation

The Linney – Sleeps 4 Adults + 2 Children

The Linney offers flexible family accommodation with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a smaller bedroom featuring a child's bed and built-in cot.

There is a spacious living and dining area with a kitchen section at one end, along with a bathroom and WC.

The Stable Flat – Sleeps 2

Ideal for couples, The Stable Flat features a comfortable double bedroom and a bathroom with a WC, shower and bath.

Guests can also enjoy a welcoming living and dining area with an adjoining kitchen section, providing everything needed for a relaxing self catering break.

The Range Flat – Sleeps 3

The Range Flat accommodates up to three guests and features a master bedroom with both a double and single bed.

There is a living and dining area with a bed-settee, a separate kitchen and a bathroom with WC.

The Granary – Sleeps 4–6

The Granary provides characterful accommodation for between four and six guests. Sleeping arrangements include a double bedroom, twin bedroom and a distinctive raised gallery with two single beds.

Upstairs is a comfortable living area and shower room with WC, while downstairs guests will find the dining and kitchen area.

The Flexi – Sleeps 4 Adults + 2 Teenagers

The Flexi is a spacious property featuring one twin bedroom and one double bedroom with an en-suite shower and WC.

There is also a small raised sleeping gallery with twin beds, particularly suitable for teenagers. The large living, dining and kitchen area includes a wood-burning stove, creating a cosy space for relaxing during cooler evenings. A separate bathroom with WC is also provided.

A connecting door, which is normally kept closed, links The Flexi with The Link, making the two properties a convenient option for guests who require additional space.

The Link – Sleeps 3

The Link features a master bedroom furnished with a double and single bed, along with a separate living room and shower room with WC.

There is also a spacious kitchen with a dining table. A connecting door allows The Link to be combined with The Flexi when additional accommodation is required.

The Studio – Sleeps 2

Perfect for a couple's getaway, The Studio offers a large combined living and sleeping area featuring an attractive four-poster bed and a cosy wood-burning stove.

The property also includes a separate kitchen and a bathroom with WC.

Onsite Facilities

Guests staying at Budleigh Farm can enjoy a variety of additional facilities throughout their visit.

The table tennis room is particularly popular with younger guests, while groups staying at the farm can reserve a lecture room equipped with a computer and projector. Advance booking is required for use of the lecture room.

An outdoor swimming pool, heated by a biomass boiler, is usually available from May until the middle of September.

For added convenience, guests also have complimentary use of a washing machine and tumble dryer. Ample onsite parking and Wi-Fi/internet access are available.

Target shooting facilities and tuition are offered onsite, along with archery facilities, providing further opportunities for guests to enjoy activities without having to travel far from their accommodation.

Exploring Moretonhampstead & Dartmoor

Budleigh Farm enjoys a beautiful countryside setting within Dartmoor National Park, surrounded by rolling landscapes and the distinctive granite tors for which the area is renowned.

The high moor is around five miles from the farm, where visitors can discover fascinating historic features including ancient stone circles and granite Stone Age rows.

The historic market town of Moretonhampstead can be reached in approximately 15 minutes on foot along the cycle track from the farm. The town is a focal point for local culture and the arts and provides an excellent place to explore during a stay.

With Dartmoor's spectacular countryside on the doorstep and plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling and sightseeing, Budleigh Farm provides an excellent base for discovering this beautiful part of Devon.

Rates & Further Information

Weekly rates range from £479 to £1,029 depending on the season and accommodation chosen.

Short breaks are also available with a minimum stay of three days. Guests are advised to enquire for availability and further details.

The properties accommodate a maximum of six guests. Children are welcome, while pets can be accommodated by prior arrangement. Two of the cottages feature wood-burning stoves, and Wi-Fi/internet access and ample onsite parking are available.
