Accommodation

The cottage features a cosy and well-appointed living space, ideal for a relaxing stay. On the ground floor, there is a comfortable sitting room with a digital TV, DVD player, CD player, and free Wi-Fi, all overlooking the large garden. The fully fitted kitchen/dining area includes an electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and ample storage space, making it well suited for self catering. A cloakroom with a wash hand basin and a separate walk-in shower are also located on this level.

Upstairs, the property offers one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The twin room includes a washbasin and shaver point, and both bedrooms are equipped with TVs and quality bed linen. Additional blankets and supplementary heaters are available for added comfort. The main bathroom includes a bath with an overhead shower and electric power point.

The cottage benefits from central heating throughout the year, ensuring a comfortable stay in all seasons.

About the Cottage

The cottage has a warm, homely feel to ensure guests are comfortable and relaxed throughout their stay. The fully equipped kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave, sandwich maker, kettle, coffee percolator, fridge/freezer, and a full range of crockery, cutlery, glasses, and cooking utensils. The dining room can seat up to 8–10 people, making it perfect for shared meals.

In the sitting room, guests will find a digital flat-screen television, DVD player, radio, electric fire, a three-piece suite, an additional two-seater settee, and a wide selection of books.

The cottage offers three bedrooms:

Two hundred acres of this woodland are managed by English Nature and form one of the most important woodland reserves in the country. Entry is by free permit, and the area is particularly noted for being home to the Honey Buzzard, one of Britain’s rarest breeding birds and a regular summer visitor.

Public footpaths provide access to other parts of the woodland and surrounding countryside, making this an ideal base for exploring Norfolk’s natural beauty.

Outside there is a delightful patio overlooking the garden with garden furniture. A wonderful spot for a morning coffee or al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

The Pig House offers outstanding self-catering accommodation in Briningham near Melton Constable. Our unique property in Norfolk has been converted from a former pig sty and is a great base to explore a range of attractions in the local area.

Our gorgeous property sleeps up to 10 and is ideal for a special break. The house is stylish and comes with a magnificent courtyard garden to unwind in.

The property has a spacious living area with a contemporary German Siematic kitchen with two large ovens, a large warming drawer, a larder fridge and a big deep freeze and a wine fridge as well as a Quooker Hot Tap. The dining table overlooks the delightful courtyard garden.

You can unwind in the seating area which comes with a comfy large corner sofa with recliners, two cuddle chairs and a 65’’ TV. A wood burner will keep you warm in the winter. You can watch a film in high definition in the cinema room which is a funky room with blue-coloured walls and bright orange Ligne Roset sofas. A separate sitting room comes with two ‘loaf’ sofas which enjoy spectacular views.

Bedrooms consist of 3 super kings and a king-size bed. All the bedrooms come with en suite facilities and the master room has a wonderful en suite bathroom with a large shower with two showers, a bath and twin sinks.

Outside there is seating for up to 8 people under the Mulberry tree which acts as shade when the sun is shining. We also have an ‘outside/inside’ area which has plenty of comfy outdoor furniture by Bramblecrest. A BBQ is available and you can relax in the jacuzzi with seats up to 6 people.

Set in the heart of the wonderful North Norfolk Countryside, Wing House is only 25 minutes from the most beautiful long sandy beaches at Wells and Holkham, and only 10 minutes from the historic Georgian market town of Holt. There is also plenty of fabulous, accessible walking at both Holt and Sheringham Country Parks for people of all ages. For children, there are the fun seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham, as well as many local attractions including WildRootz at Pensthorpe Natural Park where children can learn the wonders of the natural world and run free. Or head to Norfolk's best large visitor attraction of 2013, Dinosaur Adventure at Lenwade - an all-weather monster attraction set in 100 acres of woodland, with indoor and outdoor adventure play areas. For adults, both Blickling and Holkham Hall are a delight for the senses, with beautiful walks around the grounds and a selection of tea and cakes while you rest your weary legs. You can take a trip with Beans Seal Trips out to Blakeney Point which is only a 10-minute drive away.

There are a huge number of bespoke, quality, local eateries serving fresh local Norfolk specialities such as locally reared Pork and Beef, Cromer Crab, Lobster, Strawberries and much, much more. The Dun Cow at Salthouse is a popular choice for us, as well as The Crown at Wells.
