The Pig House offers outstanding self-catering accommodation in Briningham near Melton Constable. Our unique property in Norfolk has been converted from a former pig sty and is a great base to explore a range of attractions in the local area.

Our gorgeous property sleeps up to 10 and is ideal for a special break. The house is stylish and comes with a magnificent courtyard garden to unwind in.

The property has a spacious living area with a contemporary German Siematic kitchen with two large ovens, a large warming drawer, a larder fridge and a big deep freeze and a wine fridge as well as a Quooker Hot Tap. The dining table overlooks the delightful courtyard garden.

You can unwind in the seating area which comes with a comfy large corner sofa with recliners, two cuddle chairs and a 65’’ TV. A wood burner will keep you warm in the winter. You can watch a film in high definition in the cinema room which is a funky room with blue-coloured walls and bright orange Ligne Roset sofas. A separate sitting room comes with two ‘loaf’ sofas which enjoy spectacular views.

Bedrooms consist of 3 super kings and a king-size bed. All the bedrooms come with en suite facilities and the master room has a wonderful en suite bathroom with a large shower with two showers, a bath and twin sinks.

Outside there is seating for up to 8 people under the Mulberry tree which acts as shade when the sun is shining. We also have an ‘outside/inside’ area which has plenty of comfy outdoor furniture by Bramblecrest. A BBQ is available and you can relax in the jacuzzi with seats up to 6 people.

Lots of great gastropubs are in the local area. Further afield in North Norfolk, you will find rolling countryside, flat salt marshes, picturesque villages, fascinating craft shops, beautiful beaches and miles of rural woodland. A range of superb attractions are in the local area:

Wisteria is one storey, charming self catering property set within three-quarters of an acre of stunning mature gardens in the tranquil village Briningham. Known as Wisteria for the Wisteria Plant that grows up the east-facing wall, this beautiful 4* Gold rated holiday cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful North Norfolk Coast and all this stunning area of Norfolk has to offer.

Wisteria is approached via a private drive lined on either side by a beech hedge. There is plenty of parking and a garage and the scenic garden is completely enclosed and is secluded and sheltered.

There are glass screens from the sitting area that look out to the tranquil gardens and open out on to a terraced area with outdoor furniture.

There is separate utility room for boots and coats equipped with a washing machine/tumble dryer and additional sink and storage space as well as a garage which is useful for storing bikes.

Wisteria is heated by oil fired central heating and there is also free Wi-Fi available throughout.

We are surrounded by excellent gastropubs and other great places to eat – all within easy driving distance. The North Norfolk landscape is one of the most varied in the country. You will find gently rolling countryside, flat salt marsh and even a ridge of heath upland, left at the end of the last ice age. Whatever takes your fancy, you will find it in North Norfolk, including picturesque villages, fascinating craft shops, beautiful beaches and miles of rural woodland.

Canfers Barn is a former old cart shed and stable that has since been beautifully restored and renovated into a charming, 4* Gold rated self catering property situated in the tranquil village of Briningham. Our holiday cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful North Norfolk Coast and all this stunning area of Norfolk has to offer. 

Canfers Barn is set within picturesque farmland and boasts stunning walks and an abundance of birds and wildlife. The Barn has one bedroom with a king size bed and en suite shower room and wall-mounted TV. The bed is made up ready for your arrival and towels, bath mats and tea towels are all provided.

Awaiting your arrival is a small welcome pack to get your started.

All electricity and heating oil are included along with wood for the wood burner and there is also free Wi-Fi available.
