Exploring Swanton Novers & Norfolk

Swanton Novers is a small, peaceful village about a 15-minute drive from the coast. It is surrounded by organic meadows and ancient woodland. Two hundred acres of this woodland are managed by English Nature and form one of the most important woodland reserves in the country. Entry is by free permit, and the area is particularly noted for being home to the Honey Buzzard, one of Britain’s rarest breeding birds and a regular summer visitor.

Public footpaths provide access to other parts of the woodland and surrounding countryside, making this an ideal base for exploring Norfolk’s natural beauty.
