Stoneacre is a welcoming self-catering Purbeck Stone annexe, offering comfortable accommodation for up to 6 adults, 2 children, and a cot. Established in 1991, the property is set in the heart of the Dorset countryside and enjoys stunning views from the garden across the valley towards Swanage and the Isle of Wight.

This charming four-bedroom property offers free Wi-Fi, is Visit England 3-Star rated, and provides a peaceful rural escape, while remaining conveniently close to local attractions and amenities.

Accommodation and Facilities

The annexe is surrounded by one acre of grounds featuring wooded areas and a spacious shared garden, complete with outdoor furniture and a children’s swing. There is off-road parking for 3–4 cars on the gravel driveway.

As one double bedroom, a bathroom, and a toilet are located on the ground floor, the property is suitable for guests with partial mobility needs.

Living Areas

The comfortable lounge features a 32" flatscreen Smart TV, DVD/video player/recorder, Sky+ HD, and a woodburning stove, perfect for cosy evenings. A music system is also available.

The kitchen/diner includes seating for six and is fully equipped with:

Fridge/freezer

Microwave

Washer/dryer and dishwasher

Washing line, ironing facilities, and vacuum cleaner

Radio/CD/cassette player

Clock radios in all bedrooms

Flatscreen Freeview TVs with built-in DVD players in both double bedrooms

Heating is provided via night storage heaters in all main rooms (except the bunk room), electric heaters, and an immersion heater.

Rates and Availability

Weekly rates: £625 – £1000, inclusive of electricity, heating, logs, and bed linen.

Towels (1 bath and 1 hand towel per person) are included for indoor use only. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.

Short breaks (October to March): £125 per night (minimum 3 nights).

Lettings: Saturday to Saturday, arrival after 4pm, departure by 10am.

Payment and Policies

Payments are accepted by cash, cheque, or bank transfer.
Children of all ages, well-behaved pets, and smokers are welcome.
A cot, highchair, and stairgate are provided free of charge, and pets are accepted at no extra cost (by arrangement).

Location and Directions

Stoneacre is ideally located less than a mile from the Corfe Castle to Swanage Steam Railway, and around a mile from the nearest shop in Harmans Cross at the Murco petrol station. Swanage town centre and main beach are approximately three miles away.

Directions: From Corfe Castle, continue along the A351 towards Swanage until reaching Harmans Cross. Turn right at the crossroads just before the Murco petrol station into Haycrafts Lane. Continue for approximately ¾ of a mile; Stoneacre is on the left-hand side of the road, with the name displayed on the stone wall outside.

A 4 bedroom Purbeck Stone annexe, with free WI-FI internet access, situated in the heart of the countryside with views from the garden across the valley to Swanage and the Isle of Wight.

Established since 1991.

Available all year round except for the Christmas and New Year period, the property stands in one acre of ground with several wooded areas. The garden, which is shared with the owners, has two small summer houses, garden furniture and a children's swing. There is off-road parking for 3/4 cars on a gravel driveway.

Local shops and amenities are approximately 1 mile away at both Harmans Cross and Langton Matravers. The local Corfe Castle to Swanage Steam Railway is 1 mile away. Swanage town centre and main beach are approximately 3 miles away.

The first floor of the property has two bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin). There is also a shower room with shower, toilet and hand wash basin.

The ground floor of the property has two further bedrooms (1 double and 1 bunk - please note that the bunk beds are only 5ft 6ins x 2ft 6ins and therefore are not full size so they are only suitable for children)
Internal bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and hand wash basin. Separate toilet with hand wash basin.

As one double bedroom, the bathroom and a toilet are situated on the ground floor the property is suitable for the partially disabled.

Lounge with 32" flatscreen TV, DVD/video player/recorder and SKY+ HD.
Kitchen/diner with seating for 6 only.

Services: electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, washing line, ironing facilities, vacuum cleaner, immersion heater, night storage heaters in all main rooms (not bunk bedroom), electric heaters, woodburning stove in lounge, free Wi-Fi internet access, music system in lounge, iPod docking station, radio/cd/cassette player in kitchen, coin telephone (both incoming and outgoing calls), clock radios in all bedrooms, flatscreen Freeview TV with built in DVD player in both double bedrooms.

Prices for 2022: £495 - £950 per week inclusive of electricity, heating, logs and bed linen.
Prices for 2023: £525 - £975 per week inclusive of electricity, heating, logs and bed linen.
Towels are also provided for guests (1 bath and 1 hand per person). Please note that these are for in house use only. You will need to bring your own beach towels.

Short breaks are catered for out of season between October and March charged at £100 per night (3 nights minimum)

Payment methods - payments taken by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Lettings - Saturday to Saturday with arrival after 4pm. Departure by 10am. As the annexe is adjoining our property we will be on site for you to collect the keys and to answer any questions you may have.

Children of all ages and smokers welcome. Cot, highchair and stairgate are all provided free of charge. Well behaved pets by arrangement at no extra charge.

Directions - From Corfe Castle carry on along the main A351 towards Swanage until you get to Harmans Cross. Turn right at the crossroads just before the Murco petrol station - this is Haycrafts Lane. Go up the lane for approximately 3/4 of a mile. Stoneacre is on the left hand side of the road. The house name is on the stone wall outside.

Purbeck Cliffs is situated just one mile from Swanage town centre in Dorset. It is a modern purpose-built ground floor apartment with many unique features. It is set in its own landscaped gardens of 1.5 acres beside the peace and tranquillity of Durlston Country Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which stretches along Dorset’s award-winning Heritage Coast.

The accommodation comprises of two bedrooms, including a spacious twin bedded room and a family room with a double bed and full-size bunk beds, a 40’ indoor swimming pool, sauna and full-size snooker table.

The apartment benefits from its own private pool with a slide and sunbeds, sauna and snooker room to have fun or just relax.

There are two large bedrooms (a twin and family) and a sun lounge with a TV and DVD player to just chill or play board games. The indoor pool is approximately 40’ long and at the deep end 8’ with a slide and springboard. Off the pool, there is a sauna cabin (with its own shower room). There is also a further shower room and a relaxation area equipped with lounges. Patio doors lead from the pool onto a secluded patio area ideal for sunbathing and barbecues which is surrounded by private gardens.

Purbeck Cliffs apartment is in a very quiet, peaceful cul de sac yet only 1 mile from Swanage town centre with all its excellent local shops and restaurants and a market that takes place every Tuesday. The award-winning blue flag beach is a safe sandy bay of approximately a mile, to swim, hire Kayaks, go fishing and enjoy.
