Originally built at the end of the 19th century as a milking barn, Red Tiles Barn has been thoughtfully converted to provide comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to four people while retaining much of its original character and rustic charm. Bath, Bristol, the Somerset coast, and numerous National Trust properties are all within an hour’s drive, offering plenty of options for day trips and cultural experiences.
The Royal Bath and West Show Ground is only two miles away, hosting events and exhibitions throughout the year. Castle Cary, located about five miles from the cottage, has a mainline railway station with direct trains to London Paddington, Bath, and Bristol. The nearby village of Evercreech, just a mile away, provides essential services, including a mini-market, newsagent, post office, bakery, doctor’s surgery, chemist, fish and chip shop, pubs, and a church. For more extensive shopping, the market town of Shepton Mallet is only four miles away.
