Maple Barns, Swanton Morley, Dereham, Norfolk

Inside, the barns have been finished to a high standard while retaining plenty of rustic character, including original brickwork, traditional beams and a wood-burning stove.

The comfortable lounges feature luxurious sofas, a flat-screen television, DVD player and Hi-Fi system. Each fitted kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catering holiday, with facilities including a hob, oven, toaster and microwave.

Guests can enjoy meals around the country-style pine dining furniture or step through the French doors onto the private patio for outdoor dining.

Each barn has an upstairs bedroom with a solid wooden double bed, quality bed linen, fitted wardrobe, television and en-suite facilities. A further bedroom and bathroom facilities can be found downstairs.

A cot and highchair are available for families travelling with younger children.

Hedgehog Cottage

Hedgehog Cottage is a charming 19th-century property accommodating up to 4 guests.

The cosy lounge has comfortable leather sofas, a television and a wood-burning stove, providing an inviting place to relax after exploring the surrounding countryside.

The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. A separate dining room has a country-style table with seating for up to six people, while French doors open onto an enclosed garden with patio furniture.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, comprising a king-size room and a twin room, both with televisions. The ground floor bathroom includes a bath, shower and WC.

Hare Barn

Hare Barn is the largest of the properties and sleeps up to 5 guests. It has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room with an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and dining table.

The comfortable lounge features luxurious sofas, a television and a wood-burning stove.

There are three bedrooms, comprising a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom.

Dereham also hosts a traditional Friday market and a local farmers' market on the second Saturday of each month. Golfers will find several courses within the surrounding area, including Barnham Broom and Wensum Valley.

For those wishing to dine out closer to Maple Barns, the nearby Darby's freehouse pub is just a few minutes' walk away and offers a varied menu, beer garden and children's play area.

Weekly rates range from £520 to £1,350 depending on the season and chosen property.

Swn y Nant is the larger of the two cottages and is ideal for families or small groups. Exposed beams, a striking stone fireplace and a cosy wood-burning stove with complimentary logs create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The spacious open-plan living area features comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen for everything needed during a self-catering holiday. Sleeping accommodation includes a ground-floor en-suite family bedroom with one double and two single beds, a luxurious bathroom with a whirlpool bath and power shower, plus an upstairs en-suite twin bedroom.

Bodnant – Sleeps 5

Bodnant is a beautifully restored stone barn offering a wonderful blend of rustic charm and contemporary comfort. The bright, open-plan living area features original timber beams, a traditional wood-burning stove with complimentary logs and a well-equipped kitchen. The cottage offers a ground-floor en-suite family bedroom with one double and one single bed, an upstairs twin bedroom with its own en-suite shower room and a luxurious ground-floor bathroom complete with a whirlpool bath and power shower.
