Cynfal Farm Cottages, Bryncrug, Tywyn, Gwynedd, Snowdonia


Situated in the stunning South Snowdonia countryside, Cynfal Farm Cottages offer peaceful four-star self-catering accommodation surrounded by spectacular scenery. Accommodation

Cynfal Farm Cottages comprises two beautifully converted stone barns, each thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable and memorable stay while retaining their original charm.

Swn y Nant – Sleeps 6

Swn y Nant is the larger of the two cottages and is ideal for families or small groups. Exposed beams, a striking stone fireplace and a cosy wood-burning stove with complimentary logs create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The spacious open-plan living area features comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen for everything needed during a self-catering holiday. Sleeping accommodation includes a ground-floor en-suite family bedroom with one double and two single beds, a luxurious bathroom with a whirlpool bath and power shower, plus an upstairs en-suite twin bedroom.

Bodnant – Sleeps 5

Bodnant is a beautifully restored stone barn offering a wonderful blend of rustic charm and contemporary comfort. The bright, open-plan living area features original timber beams, a traditional wood-burning stove with complimentary logs and a well-equipped kitchen. The cottage offers a ground-floor en-suite family bedroom with one double and one single bed, an upstairs twin bedroom with its own en-suite shower room and a luxurious ground-floor bathroom complete with a whirlpool bath and power shower.

Both cottages benefit from eco-friendly biomass central heating, electricity generated through hydropower and Tesla and universal electric vehicle charging points, allowing guests to enjoy a comfortable and environmentally conscious stay.

Visiting the Area

Cynfal Farm Cottages enjoy a superb location for exploring the very best of North Wales. The farm even has its own private halt on the historic Tal-y-llyn narrow-gauge steam railway, offering guests a unique journey to the charming seaside town of Tywyn. The beautiful four-mile sandy beach stretching from Tywyn to Aberdyfi is only a short drive away, while the breathtaking landscapes of Snowdonia National Park provide endless opportunities for walking, cycling, mountain biking, climbing and outdoor adventures. Popular destinations including Dolgellau, Barmouth, Machynlleth and Aberystwyth are all within easy reach, making the cottages an excellent base for discovering the region.

Rates range from £450 to £945 per week depending on the season and cottage selected. The largest cottage accommodates up to six guests. Children are welcome, Wi-Fi and off-street parking are provided, along with EV charging facilities. The cottages have been awarded a 4 Star Visit Wales rating. Number 5 Dolgoch Falls
Recently refurbished to a high standard, Number 5 Dolgoch Falls offers spacious and stylish accommodation. The open-plan living and dining area is the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure, featuring comfortable seating, Sky Freesat TV, and a DVD player. The modern kitchen is well-appointed with a ceramic hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, slow cooker, and full cooking amenities.

Also on the ground floor are three thoughtfully furnished bedrooms: one double, one twin, and one bunk room. One of the rooms benefits from en suite facilities, and the property also includes a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.
