The Penstar Bunkhouse was converted from an old barn during the summer of 1996 by the Powell family who have had the farm since 1918. The site provides access directly to the beautiful Brecon Beacons and is nestled just outside of the village of Libanus in Powys.
The Bunkhouse can accommodate up to 20 people including facilities for those with disabilities in 2, 6 and 12 birth rooms. There is a drying room and fully equipped kitchen with ample living space and underfloor heating.
The Penstar Bunkhouse is perfect for groups looking for an area with lots of activities to enjoy. Guests can go and explore Pen-Y-Fan and Corn Du, the highest summits in the National park, which are accessible from the Bunkhouse. Craig Cerrig-gleisiad National Nature Reserve is easily reached by following the Taff Trail and is a good example of Old Red Sandstone escarpment. Climbing, pony trekking and caving are also available in the area.
