Nestled just beyond the picturesque village of Sibbertoft and close to Market Harborough, Marabou Safari Glamping offers self-catering accommodation in a peaceful, lakeside setting. Accommodation

Marabou Safari Glamping features a distinctive two-storey safari lodge, accessed by a charming footbridge over a stream and tucked away in a secluded location. Positioned next to the Sunbird Safari bell tent, both offer uninterrupted views across west-facing lakes. The spacious safari tent sleeps up to eight guests and includes everything needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. Guests can also enjoy a private glamping area outdoors, complete with a BBQ and fire pit.

Inspired by the film Out of Africa, the colonial-style safari lodge is elevated on timber stilts to make the most of the spectacular lake views from the deck. Inside, the ambiance is cosy and inviting, with a wood-burning stove providing warmth on cooler evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, featuring a gas hob and a wood-burning stove, along with indoor and outdoor dining and lounging spaces.

The lodge includes a stylish bathroom with a shower over a slipper bath and WC. Additional washroom facilities are available just 250 metres away. The sleeping arrangements are thoughtfully designed: a master bedroom with a king-size four-poster bed, an upper level with another king-size bed and two single beds, a snug cabin bed, and charming tent-style beds on the mezzanine floor – perfect for children. All beds are dressed with high-quality cotton and linen bedding.

Facilities & Fishing

Guests staying in the lodge have access to a 5-acre coarse fishing lake, home to carp, tench, and perch. Fishing is included in the stay, adding an extra element of relaxation and recreation to the glamping experience.

Exploring the Area

The surrounding region is ideal for those who love the outdoors. Scenic walks are available nearby, including a lovely route just a mile south of Welford leading to the historic grounds of Hemploe Hall. The famous canal walks at Foxton Locks offer a peaceful day out, while garden lovers can explore the ten-acre grounds at Coton Manor. An electric blanket on the double bed, extra blankets and hot water bottles ensure a cosy night under canvas.

The ensuite shower cabin has a basin, flushing loo, electric wall heater and shower with hot water from a gas heater. All the bath linen is provided.

Our glamping accommodation is in the ideal location for discovering the spectacular countryside of Leicestershire and an array of attractions in the area.

Our magical two-storey safari tent is a haven for nature lovers looking to escape the pressures of modern life. The glamping area is based in a tranquil and secluded area, reached via a delightful footbridge over a stream. Our lodge sits next to our Sunbird Safari bell tent, with both boasting breathtaking views over the west-facing lakes. This large tent sleeps up to 8 people and offers everything you need for a comfortable getaway. Outside there is a landscaped glamping-only area with a BBQ and fire pit.

Our colonial-style safari tent takes inspiration from Sydney Pollack's Oscar-winning film, 'Out of Africa', offering a truly unique space to holiday in. The tent is raised up by timber stilts, taking advantage of the glorious lake views from the deck. Inside the tent, you will find a toasty wood burner for chilly evenings. A well-equipped kitchen is great for home-cooking and includes a gas hob or wood-burning stove. You can enjoy both the indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas.

The property is situated in the beautiful Ceri Valley just a short drive from the pretty town of Newcastle Emlyn. The Safari Tents
Three of the tents (Ceri, Teifi and Aeron) offer accommodation for up to 6 people across a king bedroom, twin bedroom and double cabin bed. Each tent has a private bathroom within. Camnant has an additional room and can accommodate up to 8 people, plus the added benefit of a spacious shower room, additional WC and two outdoor seating areas.

All tents have a BBQ, herb garden, running hot water and open plan living. Also available to book are 2 spa hot tubs and a wood-burning hot tub.

Miller's Cottage
Set in the grounds of Felin Geri, this lovely traditional stone cottage can sleep up to 5 people. The cottage includes an open plan living/dining area, well-equipped kitchen and private garden.

If you don't feel like cooking enjoy a cooked breakfast, light lunch and dinner in the cafe. Alternatively, pre-order a premium food pack. Stone-baked pizza is also available, cooked in the onsite pizza oven. At Felin Geri, we always offer the opportunity to sit around the Dragon fireball, to share your stories from the day and toast giant marshmallows together.

There are lots of activities to enjoy in this area from walking the Felin Geri's woodland to fishing on the River Ceri.

The local area also offers a number of attractions including Newcastle Emlyn Castle, Cenarth Falls, National Wood Museum, West Wales Museum of Childhood & Sculptureheaven.
