Dating back to the 19th century, Redroofs Barn has been thoughtfully converted to preserve its original character while incorporating all the comforts of modern living. Kitchen & Dining: The spacious, fully equipped kitchen features an electric range cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. A separate dining room, complete with a large oak table seating up to eight guests, enjoys lovely views through the patio doors.

Lounge: The inviting lounge offers patio doors and two picture windows that frame uninterrupted countryside views, creating a serene space to unwind.

Bedrooms: The master bedroom includes a king-sized bed and is tastefully styled with soft furnishings and crisp white linens. Guests can choose from one of our 3-holiday lets, all of which have been tastefully decorated and furnished. We can also supply all our cottage guests with an Elms Farm welcome hamper filled with delicious local produce to enjoy during your stay. Available at an additional cost, please ask when booking. Breakfast hampers are available from £12.99 and include wonderful meat that is from our own farm. During your stay why not visit our Butchery & Farm shop which serves a lovely variety of local produce. Windmill Cottage:

Our first barn conversion on the farm and is on the original site of the Costock Windmill. Nowadays, it offers a comfortable double bedroom with a king-size bed and en suite shower room, a lounge and a fully stocked kitchenette. Guests can enjoy a quiet country getaway and explore the surrounding countryside of the local area or use it as a quiet base instead of a faceless hotel. If you are travelling as a young family, there is enough space for a travel cot and we have a single fold-away bed available.

This is the perfect accommodation if you’re coming to one of our pop-up kitchen events or attending a fire feast, so there is no need to worry about getting home.

Old Dairy:

A cosy barn conversion with a spacious, open-plan kitchen and lounge area. There is a double bedroom with a king-size bed which can be changed to a twin room if required. Two additional guests can also be accommodated on the sofa bed in the lounge. You will also find a fully equipped kitchen and a good size bathroom with a shower over the bath. Double doors lead to a patio area in the garden from where you can enjoy your countryside surroundings. Other cottage amenities include Freeview TV, and Wi-Fi.

The Old Piggery:

Perfect for families, this lovely holiday home includes everything you need for an enjoyable break. The master bedroom has a king-size bed that can be made into twin beds if needed. The Ploughman's Cottage is in a private, peaceful and rural setting, at Forest Town in Nottinghamshire. Our holiday cottage is 5 minutes from Mansfield and close to the beautiful Sherwood Forest.

Our newly refurbished accommodation has a double bedroom and a twin-bedded room. The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave and fridge with a small freezer compartment and dishwasher. There is a small utility room with a washing machine.

The cottage has full gas central heating and is available for a short break or weekly bookings. Well behaved dogs are permitted only by prior written agreement.

There is direct access on foot along the bridle path to Vicar Water Country Park and its fishing lake, café and children's playground. The bridle paths also lead to Sherwood Pines Forest Park and the treetop excitement of 'Go Ape'.

Edwinstowe village and the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre with their links to Robin Hood are only 10 minutes away as is Rufford Abbey and Center Parcs.

Clipstone Forest which is on the National Cycle Route is a 5-minute ride along the bridle path that forms the boundary of Bridleways. Clumber Park and Newstead Abbey are within a short travelling distance and if you wish for something livelier, there are many more attractions for children and adults both locally and in Nottingham City.

Rufford Park Lodge, Newark, Nottinghamshire (Sleeps 1-11)

Rufford Park Lodge once served as a hunting lodge in the grounds of the historic Rufford Abbey Estate in Newark, Nottinghamshire. It is now a luxury holiday cottage in the heart of the Sherwood Forest.

The accommodation is situated in the East Wing and comprises of a double en suite bedroom on the ground floor, two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor. One bathroom has a modern walk-in shower and the other has a jacuzzi/whirlpool bath and a corner steam shower enclosure, both of which can accommodate two people at a time.

There are two reception rooms on the ground floor – a dining room with an extendable oak table that seats up to ten people, and a lounge with a leather sofa suite, a Sony 42″ flat-screen TV with surround sound and Sky+ HD.

The dining room has French doors that open out onto decking which provides a comfortable seating area in the enclosed but ample courtyard. There is a hydrotherapy hot tub in one corner which is continuously heated and exclusively for your use during your stay, which is connected via a decked pathway which is illuminated at night.

The owners recommend that you bring your own beach towels and/or bathrobes as it is not practicable for them to provide these.

The property is surrounded by open farmland which provides an ever-changing 360 degree panorama, ensuring that it is different on every visit. A tree-lined private road leads up to the electric gates, behind which is ample parking for three cars on the gravel drive (more can be accommodated on the grass).

Rufford Park Lodge is situated in what used to be the grounds of Rufford Abbey, which is a short drive or twenty-minute walk away, accessible via the private road that runs past the cottage. Rufford Golf and Country Club is accessible from the same road.

The nearest pub is Rose Cottage which is also walking distance and is on the Rufford Road junction with the A614, opposite the entrance to Rufford Abbey. Old Ollerton is a short drive or cab ride away and has a historic old mill open to the public with one of the best tea rooms around, and is home to a number of traditional village pubs. Try the White Hart for great value Samuel Smiths and village atmosphere.
