Elms Farm is a family-run, thriving livestock farm at Costock that offers comfortable and homely holiday accommodation. We are an ideal base for exploring Lincolnshire and Northumberland, with many wonderful attractions being a comfortable drive away. In less than a 30-minute drive, you can reach Nottingham, Loughborough and Derby.

About Elm Farm:

Guests can choose from one of our 3-holiday lets, all of which have been tastefully decorated and furnished. We can also supply all our cottage guests with an Elms Farm welcome hamper filled with delicious local produce to enjoy during your stay. Available at an additional cost, please ask when booking. Breakfast hampers are available from £12.99 and include wonderful meat that is from our own farm. During your stay why not visit our Butchery & Farm shop which serves a lovely variety of local produce. We can also supply all our cottage guests with an Elms Farm welcome hamper filled with delicious local produce to enjoy during your stay. Available at an additional cost, please ask when booking.

During your stay, you can also enjoy a selection of country pursuits. Chris is highly experienced in both countryside management and shooting and is always keen to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with all visitors to our farm. Elms Farm offers a varied range of shooting opportunities alongside professionally qualified shooting tuition.

Windmill Cottage:

Our first barn conversion on the farm and is on the original site of the Costock Windmill. Nowadays, it offers a comfortable double bedroom with a king-size bed and en suite shower room, a lounge and a fully stocked kitchenette. Guests can enjoy a quiet country getaway and explore the surrounding countryside of the local area or use it as a quiet base instead of a faceless hotel. If you are travelling as a young family, there is enough space for a travel cot and we have a single fold-away bed available.

This is the perfect accommodation if you’re coming to one of our pop-up kitchen events or attending a fire feast, so there is no need to worry about getting home.

Old Dairy:

A cosy barn conversion with a spacious, open-plan kitchen and lounge area. There is a double bedroom with a king-size bed which can be changed to a twin room if required. Two additional guests can also be accommodated on the sofa bed in the lounge. You will also find a fully equipped kitchen and a good size bathroom with a shower over the bath. Double doors lead to a patio area in the garden from where you can enjoy your countryside surroundings. Other cottage amenities include Freeview TV, and Wi-Fi.

The Old Piggery:

Perfect for families, this lovely holiday home includes everything you need for an enjoyable break. The master bedroom has a king-size bed that can be made into twin beds if needed. Additional guests can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the lounge. Other cottage amenities include Freeview TV, Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchenette. Double doors lead to a patio area in the garden from where you can enjoy your countryside surroundings.

Visiting Costock & Exploring The Area:

Costock is a pretty village and a great base from which to explore this lovely part of England. Guests will never be short of things to do and places to explore during their stay.

Forest & Alpaca Lodge, Packington, Leicestershire (Sleeps 1-5)

Forest & Alpaca Lodge offers charming self catering accommodation near the delightful village of Packington. Both the cabins in Leicestershire are nestled in over 400 acres of wonderful farmland, perfect for the ultimate countryside retreat.

Both of the log cabins boast luxurious hot tubs to unwind in whilst savouring the amazing countryside views. You can even see alpacas or deer at certain times of the year. Each cabin is beautifully furnished and great for families or couples looking for somewhere special to stay.

Forest Lodge:

This fabulous lodge sleeps 4/5 people and comes with everything you need for a relaxing stay in the country. Inside there is a well-equipped kitchen, cosy living area with comfortable seating and a TV, a double and twin room, plus a bathroom. The private hot tub is on the decking area and enjoys spectacular views of the natural ponds on our 100-acre woodland.

Alpaca Lodge:

This superb lodge sleeps up to 4/5 people and is nearer to the farm, adjacent to our caravan and camping fields. Relax in the living area after a day sightseeing. Facilities include comfortable seating and a TV. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the well-equipped kitchen. The twin and double rooms share a bathroom. A fantastic hot tub is on the private decking area, perfect for enjoying a glass of bubbly which enjoying views of the alpacas during the summer months.

The lovely working beef and arable farm has lots of rare breed animals to meet, including Canadian bison, alpacas, red deer and Mangalitza pigs. You can also wander around the gorgeous woodland.

Onsite there is a farm shop that sells delicious home-produced meat, homemade pies, jams, and chutneys. BBQ meat packs are also available to pre-order for your stay. You can also enjoy some tasty food at the coffee shop, including renowned rare breed sausage rolls and freshly prepared breakfast.

It is close to the historic market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, home to interesting shops, brilliant restaurants and relaxing cafes. Visit the magnificent ruins at Ashby de la Zouch Castle or stroll around the scenic grounds at Calke Abbey. Staunton Harold Reservoir is great for bird watching and the area also has lots of picturesque walking and cycling routes.

Our stylish lodges are furnished to the highest standard and come with a range of facilities to suit all your needs. Rustle up some delicious food in the fully equipped kitchen which had a fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, cutlery and crockery. Enjoy some delicious food around the dining table which seats 6. Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar is supplied plus salt, pepper and oil. A useful utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer etc.

Unwind in the comfortable lounge after a day of exploring the area. Facilities include a reclining leather suite, coffee table, bookcase, TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD/Radio and iPod player, books, DVD’s and games.

Two beautiful bedrooms are available: a master king and twin room. Both rooms are elegantly furnished and share a shower room.

Caerfai Farm, St Davids, Pembrokeshire (Sleeps 1-6)

Caerfai Farm offers holiday accommodation within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, just 10 minutes from St Davids (the smallest city in Britain).

There are 4 holiday cottages available, each with its own grounds away from the farm buildings. It is only a 350-yard walk to Caerfai Bay.

Caerfai Farm is a 180-acre organic dairy farm with pastures free of artificial insecticides, herbicides and fungicides. Sustainable farming and renewable energy is a primary consideration and solar, geothermal, biogas and wind power are all used here.

During the summer, the farm shop sells organic vegetables, general groceries and award-winning Caerfai Organic Cheeses, which are handmade on the farm.
