South Wing is a beautiful 17th-century Grade II listed holiday house offering accommodation for up to 14 guests. Featuring five exceptionally large and comfortable bedrooms, a well-equipped modern kitchen, an oak-panelled dining room and a huge lounge with a log burner, South Wing provides an ideal setting for family gatherings and group holidays.
Located just two minutes from the thriving village of Hunmanby, guests have easy access to several pubs, eateries, well-stocked shops and even a whisky distillery. Situated only two miles from the sweeping sandy beaches of Filey Bay and on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, an area under consideration for Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) status, South Wing is perfectly positioned for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
Accommodation
With almost 6,000 square feet of interior space and set within one and a half acres of private gardens and woodland, South Wing is a wonderful destination whatever the weather. Children especially enjoy exploring the extensive house and grounds, with endless opportunities for games and adventure both indoors and out. An optional hot tub is available to hire for the duration of a stay.

All five bedrooms are located on the first floor and are spacious, comfortable and filled with natural light, offering views across the surrounding countryside and towards the sea.
Bedroom One
Situated at the eastern end of the house, this bedroom features a queen-sized bed and an additional single bed, along with an en-suite shower room. The room enjoys views across the village towards Filey Bay and over the gardens and adjacent golf course.
Bedroom Two
This bedroom contains a double bed and shares a Jack and Jill bathroom with Bedroom Three. Guests can enjoy lovely views over the south-facing gardens and terraces.
Bedroom Three
Ideal for children sharing, this spacious room features a double bed and three single beds. It shares the Jack and Jill bathroom with Bedroom Two and enjoys plenty of natural light along with stunning south-facing views.
Bedroom Four
A comfortable twin room with two single beds, Bedroom Four overlooks a small courtyard to the west. A cosy WC with hand basin is located next door. Guests are welcome to decide amongst themselves which bathroom facilities best suit their group.
Bedroom Five
This grand bedroom offers a large en-suite bathroom, separate dressing area, cosy snug and a private balcony with views to the south and west, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the evening surroundings.

Facilities
South Wing boasts a spacious and exceptionally well-equipped modern kitchen featuring twin Neff ovens, an induction hob, two dishwashers, two large fridge-freezers and a separate drinks fridge.
Fast, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, while outside guests can enjoy the large private garden. The village pubs and shops are only a short walk away, and the sandy beaches of Filey Bay can be reached within a five-minute drive.
A high-quality hot tub can be arranged for delivery, installation and heating prior to arrival. Hot tub hire prices vary throughout the year, with weekend hire typically costing £325 and seven-night hire from £395.
Guests will also find a wide range of indoor and outdoor games, toys, books, puzzles and magazines to keep everyone entertained. A selection of wellies, fishing nets, balls and even wetsuits may also be available to borrow.
A Weber BBQ, along with a large outdoor table and chairs, is provided for al fresco dining.
Visiting the Area
Hunmanby is a large, well-serviced village located two miles from the coast and perched on the Yorkshire Wolds. The surrounding area offers an abundance of walking opportunities, including sections of both the Cleveland Way and Wolds Way. It is also a popular destination for cycling enthusiasts, with numerous road and off-road routes to explore.
