Beudy Bryn Celyn offers charming self catering accommodation in Bryn Mawr, just 1.5 miles from the village of Llanymynech. It is nestled in a gorgeous location on a hillside in Powys, surrounded by a garden and open countryside, perfect for a tranquil getaway.

This wonderful cottage boasts stunning views over Shropshire Plain and towards the Welsh Hills, set in a rural location but only 1.5 miles from the nearest A road. This recently converted cow byre is tastefully furnished and comes with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Our lovely cottage comes with a fabulous open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The cosy living area comes with comfy seating, a TV and a unique semi-circular stained-glass window. You can cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen which includes a range of appliances: washing machine, full cooker, microwave cooker and refrigerator. There are outdoor drying facilities, and also a tumble dryer in the storeroom for your exclusive use. The storeroom also houses a freezer for your use.

Upstairs there is a beautiful gallery bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed which can be made into a twin. A bathroom is downstairs.

Outside there is a patio area with garden furniture and a built-in BBQ for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the magnificent views. There is also a is a lockable, heated storeroom where a fishing tackle, cycles etc can be kept.

It is in a fantastic position for exploring the area. At the bottom of the lane, the River Vyrnwy, Montgomery Canal and Offa's Dyke Path meet. You can visit the quaint village of Llanymynech which has a PO/Off licence/general store, pub, restaurants, garage and hairdressers. The area has four National Trust properties within a 30-minute drive, with Powis Castle only 15 minutes away. You can also enjoy lots of scenic walks or enjoy a touch of retail therapy at the Roman city of Chester which is only 45 minutes away.

The Stable Yard, Wootton, Bedford, Bedfordshire (Sleeps 1-20)

The Stable Yard is situated within 140 acres of Bedfordshire countryside. Nestled in a working livery yard, our self-catering apartments are suitable for individuals, couples, and groups of up to 20. 

There are 8 open plan studio apartments, each with a fitted kitchen and en-suite bathroom. There is also a two-bedroom self-contained family apartment with a separate kitchen and living room. Based on the standard layout we can accommodate 20 guests across the apartments, but this can be increased with spare beds available in most rooms, subject to availability. We also welcome guests who wish to bring their pets although a cleaning charge will be applied per apartment.

Located in the middle of the accommodation is a cosy communal area with a log burner and dining table where groups can socialise and eat together.

The accommodation itself is located on a working arable farm with approximately 25 horses at livery. There are many walks from your back door and many more in the local area.

Bedford is approximately 7 miles away and Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes is famous for its large shopping centre, the Milton Keynes Theatre, and the Xscape Centre, offering one of the largest indoor ski slopes in Europe. If you are visiting Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre or The College Equestrian Centre either with or without your horse, then we would be happy to accommodate you.

This delightful self catering lodge is situated amidst the spectacular scenery of the Elan Valley and offers a truly peaceful country holiday. The area is ideal for those who love walking with a footpath right outside the door, which leads through ancient oak woodlands on to the heather-clad hill.

The sitting room has big picture windows and a door leading into the garden. The walls are attractively wood-panelled and the furniture is comfortable. There is a small television, a phone with an honesty box and a bureau with lots of maps, walks and literature about local attractions. A wood-burning stove has been installed to add a cosy atmosphere however the chalet is really warm with night storage and convector heaters providing adequate heat throughout. Logs are provided.

Pets are very welcome at Tyn-y-Castell and at no extra charge. There is a good fence around the garden and lots of lovely walks for them to enjoy but they must be kept under control to protect wildlife and farming.

Tyn-y-Castell is about five miles from the friendly little market town of Rhayader. It lies just a short distance from a single-track road and is approached via a track which continues on up onto the hills. It is about two miles to the Elan Valley Visitors Centre and the beginning of the road round the lakes. There are numerous footpaths and waymarked walks and cycle tracks all passing through some of the most beautiful countryside in the British Isles. Most importantly it is immensely peaceful and totally uncrowded and unspoilt.
