The Stable Yard is situated within 140 acres of Bedfordshire countryside. Nestled in a working livery yard, our self-catering apartments are suitable for individuals, couples, and groups of up to 20. 

There are 8 open plan studio apartments, each with a fitted kitchen and en-suite bathroom. There is also a two-bedroom self-contained family apartment with a separate kitchen and living room. Based on the standard layout we can accommodate 20 guests across the apartments, but this can be increased with spare beds available in most rooms, subject to availability. We also welcome guests who wish to bring their pets although a cleaning charge will be applied per apartment.

Located in the middle of the accommodation is a cosy communal area with a log burner and dining table where groups can socialise and eat together.

The accommodation itself is located on a working arable farm with approximately 25 horses at livery. There are many walks from your back door and many more in the local area.

Bedford is approximately 7 miles away and Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes is famous for its large shopping centre, the Milton Keynes Theatre, and the Xscape Centre, offering one of the largest indoor ski slopes in Europe. If you are visiting Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre or The College Equestrian Centre either with or without your horse, then we would be happy to accommodate you.

Maythorn Farm provides self-catering accommodation in two barn conversions. They are located in a secluded position within the Bedfordshire village of Stevington. This area is an ideal base for visiting the popular city of Bedford.

Maythorn Farm
This high-quality barn can accommodate 6 people in a double, twin/super king-size bed and a loft room. The living space is open plan and very spacious. Outside is a spacious sunken patio with a Jamie Oliver grilling table BBQ, chiminea and wood-fired pizza oven.

Millcroft Barn
This apartment can accommodate 2 people in a double bedroom. Like Maythorn the living space is open plan and comes with a microwave, fridge, kettle, flat-screen TV, DVD player, X Box and more.

Guests at the apartment can enjoy tennis on-site, or skiing in the surroundings.

Stevington village is full of history and includes an 18th Century post mill. This area is ideal for walking and horse riding as there are miles of footpaths and bridleways.

Bedford is packed with amenities which include 2 cinemas, swimming pools, shops, places to eat and a host of events.

Alternatively, visit one of the many attractions such as the Higgins Art Gallery & Museum, Bedford Castle, Bedford Park, Panacea Museum & Wildlife Trust BCN.

All of the holiday cottages are fitted out to a high standard with all the comforts of home. The kitchens include electric cookers, microwaves, dishwashers and washer/driers.

The Stable Yard is a selection of self catering apartments in the Bedfordshire village of Wootton. There are currently 8 individually designed apartments. Of these, 4 are located in the converted former coach house and have been sympathetically restored to retain many of the original beams and features. 

The accommodation itself is located on a working arable farm & there are many lovely countryside walks surrounding the apartments. Bedford is approximately 7 miles away and Milton Keynes approximately 12 miles where there is a massive varierty of activties to be explored.

Garden Cottage is a 4 star holiday cottage located on a farm near Bedford. It has been decorated and furnished to a high standard & makes a great base for a solo traveller or a couple who want to explore Bedfordshire.

Inside you will find one large bedroom with solid oak furniture. There is a door from the bedroom out to the garden, which has a seating area. The bathroom has a generous shower cubicle and excellent fittings and finish. The living room/kitchen is furnished to the same high standard. It contains all you would expect for a comfortable stay.

The quaint village of Bletsoe is just 8 miles from Bedford. Bedford offers a selection of places to eat, shops and attractions.
