South Bells Shiel

Available from April through to the end of October, South Bells Shiel is a charming two-storey retreat full of character.

The cosy living area features a large open fireplace, comfortable seating, antique pine dining furniture and an LCD television with DVD player, creating the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The adjoining kitchenette is well equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and ample storage for everything needed during a self catering break.

A spiral staircase leads to the first-floor bedroom, where flexible zip-and-link beds can be arranged as either twin beds or a king-size double. A single sofa bed in the bedroom and a high-quality double sofa bed in the lounge provide additional sleeping space, allowing the cottage to accommodate up to five guests.

The property also benefits from a ground-floor shower room with WC and wash basin, while both a traditional log fire and electric panel heaters ensure year-round comfort.

Geary Shiel

Geary Shiel is a spacious ground-floor cottage designed to provide a relaxing countryside retreat for up to four guests.

The welcoming living room features a traditional log-burning stove, comfortable seating, antique pine dining furniture and an LCD television with DVD player, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The well-equipped pine kitchenette includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer/dryer, making longer stays especially convenient.

The bedroom offers flexible zip-and-link beds that can be configured as either twin beds or a king-size double, while a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge provides additional sleeping accommodation when required.

West Ord Holiday Cottages are located just outside the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland. Our holiday cottages are peacefully located in the lovely countryside and are ideal for families and those taking a break from the stress of modern life.

With a choice of 6 comfortable cottages, the available accommodation can cater for a total of 25 people.

One well behaved dog is welcome in each of Eden, Till, Tweed and Shepherds Cottages at the owner's discretion. 

Within a 10 minute drive of our cosy holiday cottages, you can have access to miles of stunning sandy Northumbrian beaches, Cocklawburn Beach is on our doorstep, The Holy Island of Lindisfarne a 10-minute drive, Bamburgh and the Farne Islands are half an hour’s drive away and to the north of Berwick-upon-Tweed the fabulous rocky cliffs and promontories that are St.Abb's Head, Coldingham Bay and Eyemouth.

Enjoy activities such as fishing on our own stretch of river, playing tennis on our own court, walking, cycling, swimming, horse riding, or simply relaxing on the wonderful unspoilt beaches.
